Why no Lombax option?
Oooh, i so agree with that statement. Somehow it seems that Lombaxes wouldn't look out of place in ME.

Failing that, turians would be best bet. Every species in Mass Effect are well-written, but i like turians' looks and mannerisms the most. And that would also mean finally seeing the mysterious female turians.

Now we just have to wait untill they're finished with main plotline, then Bioware will probably make a different game set in ME universe. And i can bet it'll have an alien protagonist.

No volus option, earth clan?

But, probably end up Turian or Quarian. If I wasn't so attached to certain secondary sexual characteristics, Asari and their biotics would be totally bitching, though.
The Volus clan should take notice of the second poll that I have released.

Hanar obviously :) . I want to octuple wield shotguns!
So you want to be a twelve-legged Hanar?

Think about it, the hanar have only six tentacles, and they would need at least four tentacles to stay balanced while standing.
Don't they use jetpacks to stay afloat (I read that in Mass Effect Wiki)?
If they have jetpacks, then all they would need is to be an eight-legged Hanar.

I knew that, I just didn't want to write "sextuple". It sounds dirty. I should have said quadruple.

Thinking about it, all of this isn't all that far fetched: Bioware are quite adamant that the Mass Effect universe will not be depleted after ME3, they're already thinking about other things: What about a Krogan foray into the Rachni wars? or a Turian RTS? An Asari stealth game? These would all be logical routes to take.

*Beep*. Playing as a Reaper would be nice by the way... or an Elcor. "Angry: I've had enough of your disingenuous assertions!" *Crushes reporter*

Speaking of Turian RTS... let's derail this thread for a bit. That would indeed be great, except for the fact Bioware would probably have to get some other EA studio working on it - or would they?

I, personally, would like to see a kind of Real-Time-Tactics game, maybe with a pinch of RPG on top, where you take control of a (relatively) small Turian regiment, with about 100 soldiers composing around 10-12 squads and maybe 15-25 vehicles or so. There could be persistent experience for each unit, and when airdropping them in battle, each time you can pick who goes in. There wouldn't be any basebuilding, but would be impromptu fortification.

Quarians.

I have an unhealthy obsession with Quarians. They're the best.

Oh, and Adam Baldwin is one. So yeah.

Turian. They are the most superior race in terms of tactics and military strength. And they just look and sound AWESOME. Seriously, every turian is a badass.

I'm intrigued; It almost sounds like you're trying to meet the genre halfway, which could work I guess. Not to mention it fits with the Turian philosophy of rebuilding lost units rather than replacing them, But i'm not sure it wouldn't get ironically too complicated. Without the Base building mechanic you would have to have a set number of units at the start of each mission and have some way of re-inforcing them and therefore resources, and without a base there's no way to centralise it. Besides as we have seen from Halo Wars, RTS is murder to translate onto a console, and sure Bioware would have no problem writing it for PC, but they do seem to stand their ground on the Xbox front as well.

But I still think it's an interesting Idea: we can all hope.

Turian, because... on come on, just look at them. Badassery incarnate, with horns and face paint.

Salarian. I think it would be challenging and interesting. But really, I wouldn't mind playing as any of the races.

In fact, I think it would be awesome if Bioware did a spin off game set in the Mass Effect universe that allowed you to play through origin type stories for each of the races.

To answer: for reinforcements, there is a plenthora of different concepts. You can take one dropzone for an entire mission, several available "control points" you can wrestle away from the enemy, or just land dropships whereever said enemy does not have presence. Whatever works.

In the case of RTT game, one thing from EndWar (a console RTS, i've heard it's not half bad) could be used to great success. You see, in that game if a unit drops to 25% of health, it stops moving and calls for evac. That would also work here.
