Volus gets my vote.
I'd love to play a Volus soldier, and hear "wheeze... Charge!" every time I get in a fight.
Or a Hanar. "This one would like to shoot you." could totally be a renegade option.

But really, I'd have to go for the Krogan. Have been on the receiving end of their melee charge too many times, would like the chance to be on the dispensing end of it for a change!

I do. Alas, even as a vanguard, you don't really to be a badass space lizard, or headbutt your cohorts as a matter of course. Or keep a pet Varren. Yeh, the Krogan get to do a lot of cool stuff...

I would vote for either Turians or Krogan. I do like good storytelling though, and I think if we end up with a Krogan-centric story, it's going to be exactly like Gears of War. Think about it--alias and woe from some people over the fact that their people are dying, general uncaring about society from others, and everyone with a helmet dies. I don't want to turn ME into GOW. Nothing against GOW of course, I just like ME to be ME.

It's a toss up between a Turian and an Asari, but that's because you didn't include a fucking Elcor option.

Hanar, I think it might be fun to be able to strangle bad guys to death with long tentacles.

Or a Turian, if Garrus' fanbase suggests anything, Turians get all the ladies, which might make sense, 'cause so far we haven't seen any female Turians.

And Volus, sure they don't make good soldiers, but with business skills like theirs, it might be easy to get rich in Noveria.

You can headbutt your cohorts and keep a pet varren, as for being a space lizard, there are always mods.

I keep wishing that I was a Quarian because they do a lot of cool stuff, but only fools wish.
