And of course, there's the people who do nothing with their lives, wasting away and burining through other people's money, hurting the few people who still care about them.

Oh, but in that case (hey, even the other one too) isn't it possible for them to turn their lives around?

I mean, if people who were once total leeches (or possibly killers/rapists) turn their lives around and somehow becomes good people, are they still "worthless"? Does it make sense to "punish" a person who's really changed (- especially since punishment really doesn't do any good)? Are people worthless if they even have a remote possibility of turning their lives around?

I mean, are the actions of a person enough to condemn them eternally? If you can believe that good people can go bad - and therefore unworthy of the praise and privilege they had recieved - then it must also be possible for bad people to turn good.

I realize you're not asking me, but there is a certain point where you are no longer capable of just "turning your life around."

Furthermore, people rarely change. You can't just let someone who "totally swears to be good this time, really," free.
