I answered the poll with "firing squad", but upon further consideration, it's a toss-up between that and hanging. They both seem like interesting methods that aren't too painful (I'm hoping shock would kick in when I'm shot in the guts). I mean, hey, if I'm going to die, why not die experiencing record levels of pain? I'd just like to have the experience.

Also, death by science (experiments, etc.) seems pretty cool.

The problem with the death penalty is that in the US it ends up costing more to execute someone than it does to keep them in prison for life, because on death row they get an almost limitless amount of appeals which cost taxpayer money for the court to go through. That is my one and only reason for being against the death penalty at the moment, because honestly, some people just deserve a long and painful death.

See, i don't agree with that. We need to follow what Britain does. You get one appeal and that's it. (Again, information taken from Wikipedia. Take as you will).

Uh... Britian doesn't have the death penalty. Well technically we still have it for treason, but no-one would ever really be bothered enough to kill our monarchs, since they don't actually do anything any-more. Britain effectively has no death penalty.

Well actually since 1997 the death penalty can no-longer be given out for treason in the UK, though no-one's been convicted of that since WWII anyway that didn't change much. Treason technically isn't only killing monarchs, it can also include giving away state secrets to states we are warring with etc.

OT: Probably firing squad but hopefully not in the head, I don't want to be choked to death, electrocuted, poisoned or any of the more painful type of excution. I'd like a couple of seconds to think though "this is the end" after I'm shot before I lose consciness for the last time so I'd want to be shot in the chest.
