I'm so excited. Diablo 2 is basically my favourite game ever. Get in a game with a few friends and it was pretty much the most fun you could have with anything ever. Loot + grind + damage numbers + co-op = Holy shit.

I'm not getting it, but that is because I have no money. I would say it is a definite buy, but 2 of my friends won't shut up about it so they have literally sucked out all my enthusiasm for the game.

I might rent it. I have watched most of the videos and interviews out for it, and I still barely understand what the game is. So... I really don't know.

it's a FPS/RPG, with over a billion guns
(it randomizes EVERYTHING you see, guns, vehicles, enemy's even locations if I am correct)
and yes, I am getting it, I love the graphics, the idea of having 84 billion different guns, and the 4 man co-op.

I thought it was 17 million guns?

no, the guns are determined randomly, and in the adverts they keep saying huge numbers
maybe it's "just" 17 million, but that's more then enough for me

I'm doubtful on the "OVER 900000000000 GUNS IN THE GAMEW!@$@!#%@%".

Look at it this way;
Electric Gun: Does 20-50 Damage, has circular red dot sight (just an example)
Another Electric Gun: Does 21-50 Damage, has same red dot sight.
Other Electric Gun: Does 20-50 Damage, has ovular red dot sight.
Another Another Electric Gun: Does 21-51 Damage, has ovular red dot sight.
And so on.

It's easy to say "WE HAVE A BAZILION WEAPUNZ IN THE GAME!@#$!#" when there could be only a difference in the shape of the dot sight.

Not to say that a million or so weapons is impressive, but come on, quality over quantity people!

For me, personally, I am interested in Borderlands but I'm too concentrated on Uncharted 2 among other games. I'll probably borrow it off a friend, I think he's getting it at least.

There has been much talk about Borderlands, some about how the randomized loot will keep you playing for months, and others saying that there isn't much of a story underneath all those weapons. With a little over a week until release, I am still undecided whether or not I should purchase Borderlands. Of course I can always just wait for some friends to pick it up so I can try the game for myself, but I have become rather bored with the Xbox 360 games I currently own.

I have heard many comparisons to Borderlands and Fallout 3. My Fallout 3 save is at 100+ hours right now. So I'm thinking I can get the same mileage out of Borderlands.

Are you going to purchase Borderlands? If so, what are you most excited for? If you are on the other spectrum, what is keeping you from buying it?

Well, yeah, a lot of guns will probably be like that, but for people who love loot based games, this is what it's all about. The excitement of finishing off a mob and seeing all the items scattered everywhere, and then the thrill when you pick up an assault rifle that does 3 more damage and has slightly better accuracy than the one you already have.. It's awesome.

Plus, as previously stated, loot, grind and co-op is one of the most fun combinations you can have.

yeah, most of the guns will be crap, or lame, but I'll just sell those, and keep the truly original and awesome ones.

The game sounds like it will be Diablo II style addictive, but as a shooter, so the entertainment value is even better. That combination, if pulled off correctly (Borderlands seems to have that down, much better than Hellgate: London), is going to suck down months of my life. So, yeah, I'm picking up this game.

Borderlands is the second game I have been really interested in all year and will be the second(and most likely last) game I actually buy this year.
