IGN gave it an 8.8 if you havent seen it yet. Metacritic.com so far has around 14 reviews i think and their average is an 86. So it seems like a solid game, nothing that will get 100s from reviews but an 86 is a damn good game. And plus it seems like if it was judged just on the coop play it would be well into the 93+ range.Whistler777 said:Basically, I'm going to see what IGN thinks about it, then decide. If it gets an 8/10 or above, I'm probably going to buy it.
If you've played and enjoyed Diablo 2 and Fallout then I'm thinking this game outta be for you. (The weapons in diablo 2 are also randomized, and this always gave it a huge + for me as it made you try and keep efficient with your weapons/armor and limited inventory)rayne117 said:There has been much talk about Borderlands, some about how the randomized loot will keep you playing for months, and others saying that there isn't much of a story underneath all those weapons. With a little over a week until release, I am still undecided whether or not I should purchase Borderlands. Of course I can always just wait for some friends to pick it up so I can try the game for myself, but I have become rather bored with the Xbox 360 games I currently own.
I have heard many comparisons to Borderlands and Fallout 3. My Fallout 3 save is at 100+ hours right now. So I'm thinking I can get the same mileage out of Borderlands.
Are you going to purchase Borderlands? If so, what are you most excited for? If you are on the other spectrum, what is keeping you from buying it?
Yeah, I saw that. Me and two other friends are buying on the 26th fosho.Poomanchu745 said:IGN gave it an 8.8 if you havent seen it yet. It's actually more like:Jumplion said:I'm doubtful on the "OVER 900000000000 GUNS IN THE GAMEW!@$@!#%@%".
Look at it this way;
Electric Gun: Does 20-50 Damage, has circular red dot sight (just an example)
Another Electric Gun: Does 21-50 Damage, has same red dot sight.
Other Electric Gun: Does 20-50 Damage, has ovular red dot sight.
Another Another Electric Gun: Does 21-51 Damage, has ovular red dot sight.
And so on.
It's easy to say "WE HAVE A BAZILION WEAPUNZ IN THE GAME!@#$!#" when there could be only a difference in the shape of the dot sight.
It's actually a Bioware game; EA just owns their company right now. Bioware has a rich history of great games, including Baldur's Gate, Knights of the Old Republic, Jade Empire, and Mass Effect.Pyro Paul said:i'm really kinda on the fence about this game... it looks like some good co-opping, but then again with several other games coming out, including dragons age which i am also on the fence about (mainly because it is a EA game...)
Geez people it is 87 bazillion guns. And I cannot wait for it (hopefully tomorrow, stupid delivery trucks). I am going to play the crap out of it once it comes in. I got my winter hibernation all planned out. Borderlands, Magna Carta 2, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 and Dragon Age. A couple more weeks then bring on the snow.The Rockerfly said:I thought it was 17 million guns?Aunel said:it's a FPS/RPG, with over a billion gunsMetallicaRulez0 said:I might rent it. I have watched most of the videos and interviews out for it, and I still barely understand what the game is. So... I really don't know.
(it randomizes EVERYTHING you see, guns, vehicles, enemy's even locations if I am correct)
and yes, I am getting it, I love the graphics, the idea of having 84 billion different guns, and the 4 man co-op.
