I actually asked a female friend about this recently and she actually gets rather creeped out by male-male stuff like that.
I'd be the same, quite frankly.

I'd like to stress that I have absolutely no problem with same sex relationships of either gender. As far as I'm concerned, that's their business.

But then I don't find men very attractive, physically. When I watch guy on girl I look at it from the perspective of the guy, partially because the girls are often submissive and I'm not into being submissive, partially (like people have said) it's escapism and I like to imagine being a guy doing a girl more than I like to remember being a girl done by a guy. Mostly because the guys are just not that attractive and I'd prefer not to have to imagine myself as that poor girl who has to have sex with him.

There is a LOT of slash/yaoi stuff, but there's bound to be even if there's a small niche of women who are into it. I doubt there's a high percentage of scat lovers but there's still a lot of it to be found out there.

That I can answer.

Firstly, it's just nice to see aroused women without some guy's pale butt in the way.

Secondly, watching another guy having sex can make us jealous. He's getting all the fun, the bastard. And if I'm watching porn then I am clearly not getting any of said fun. Girl-on-girl doesn't have that problem.

i really wonder why men like those scenes and if they really don't notice what is real and what is not. makes me sad for all the straight girls. but then again, that is why i don't have a problem with gay male porn, i don't give a damn if they like it or not

I've thought about this before, I think it's a biological thing that dates back to the early evolutionary days when sex was mostly for procreation (although some evidence suggests that we also did it for recreational and social bonding reasons as well). Monogamy was not inherent in early humans since it didn't really come about until we started our agricultural phase as the roles for men and women were required to become more fixed in early society. Early man would have similar behaviour to most other apes insomuch as they would have sex with multiple partners in order to spread larger amounts of their genetics. With this comes the requirement for territorial rights, so the sight of another male engaging in intercourse with a female that he has become aroused by will trigger a defense response to signify dominance.

Due to the fact that sex was a social and recreational activity in early man, the sight of two women engaging in sexual relations is far less likely to trigger a defense response since the females of our species were predominantly submissive in the social hierarchy, therefore the lack of another male would mean that there is no threat to defend against so the male would be less stressed and more likely to maintain arousal.

So, in today's society, the reason why lesbian pornography is so popular with males is because in girl x guy porn there is another male present (by "another" I mean that the male watching sees the male in the pornography as "another male"), which will lessen our arousal because we are conflicted between being aroused by the female, but not aroused (maybe even subconsciously threatened) by the "other" male which makes it less appealing to watch.

It's also why solo masturbation pornography is popular with males, simply because of the lack of that "other" male.

It's just a little theory of mine, but it makes sense. At least to me it does.

I think that's simply because so much of porn is directed towards the male mind. In layman's terms: boobies. Straight woman are less likely to like this, were as lesbian and bisexuals are.

Ok, so gays are a minority, but what is common amongst us as a group? Racial minorities have race and culture in common. Gays though, come in all flavours, colors, genders and religions. We are tied together through who we like to have sex with. This is also the reason some choose to treat us badly.

This leads to many discussions academic and otherwise about sex and the politics surrounding it. When you spend that much time dissecting your sexuality, you tend to work through many hangups etc without even realizing it (you must first face a demon if you want to kill it).

Because our community is tied through sex, we also have many flavours of gay/bi/intersexed/omnisexual/pansexual etc etc etc in our one 'gay' community umbrella. We are out of necessity a very sexually open group.
If you can stop saying 'ew, yucky' before even looking at something, you realize how many very sexy things there are in the world.

EDIT: as a sidebar - I am gay and have several guy crushes. This guy i work with for instance is adorable. Just because i couldn't fall in love and marry a man, doesn't mean i don't realize a guy is hot when i see him. If your straight do you seriously not notice someone of the same sex is looking good? Honestly? The reason why the vast majority of the porn i watch is lesbian, despite me being a guy, is because i find the male body ugly and penises to be frankly repulsive - which is a bit weird considering the obvious fact that i am a man and i have a penis. In all honesty i don't 'get' why women are even attracted to men in the first place. Our bodies are ugly, brutish, and i fail to see anything sexy about the male physique at all. Women can be all manner of things; sensuous, sexy, submissive, domineering, manipulative, cunning, flirtatious, salacious... you get the point. Maybe it's because i have a two dimensional view of men, that we're nothing more than shallow pigs that work on a constant power struggle. Actually, i have a lot of dissonance with the male gender in general that may contribute to this on a larger picture. For example, i absolutely cannot stand the male ego and how everything has to be a "competition". The hierarchy system in most male peer groups, spoken or not, is also something that frustrated me greatly. Not because i'm at the bottom of the pile per se, but because it's a cruel and unnecessary system of power.

But i digress. The long and short of of it is that i suppose the reason why i watch lesbian porn so often is because i find men, the male body and the male demeanour to be repulsive, to the point where it can ruin my arousal when watching porn. In fact, going on from what some people in this thread have said about most lesbian porn seemingly being made by men for men where the actresses are obviously faking it and hardly even enjoying themselves, i would tend to agree with that assumption. When i'm looking for porn and i come across videos where everything is just so robotic and devoid of any emotion or things like foreplay i tend to just skip it. This has led to looking for porn taking far longer than it should (upwards of one hour in some cases) simply because i find all of it to be garbage that is nothing more than glorified animalistic fornication for the sake of fornication. I'm not expecting a masterpiece in directorship here, but really there are times where i'd like something more than supermodels moaning in monotone and looking away form each other like they're completely bored.

Seriously? 2011 and we still can't handle the fact that gay porn exists? I mean, if we're talking about the "gross" factor, I'd say watching an old male school teacher force his female student to have sex with him for better grades rates higher than watching two adult males make out.

As a heterosexual I also find it preferable to watch gay male porn because whenever a woman is present in a porn video, the entirety of the focus is always on her - and I'm not interested in naked women. It's incredibly difficult (by which I mean impossible) to find heterosexual porn that's designed for heterosexual female viewers or really even takes into consideration that female porn watchers might exist.

I actually knew/believed most of these, especially the horny one and the body issue one. I personally think I am a very unattractive person (I am a guy) and I'm sure most of it stems from media's portrayal of men.
Also another thing everyone knows about women that aren't true is the belief that women don't masturbate. On a bus trip back from a swim meet, one of my friends asked me (I don't remember why, I'm pretty sure the group of us, about 4 guys and 7 or 8 girls, were playing some sort of game) if I masturbated so I answered truthfully, and then asked her if she did, and she immediately said no gross girls don't do that. I called bullshit and asked for a show of hands from people who do masturbate, everyone but her put up their hands, it was rather entertaining.

OT: As a completely straight male with an interest in anal, I can deal with gay porn, as long as there isn't a focus on the foreplay, I mean it's not like you aren't going to see a penis in straight porn, in fact straight porn focuses almost exclusively on the penis. Despite my status as a gay male, I find pretty much all of it attractive in some capacity, even lesbians. Just because I wouldn't want to be a participant doesn't mean I can't appreciate watching people having a good time. I imagine a lot of women (and probably more than a few straight men) feel similarly.

Same with me, only change the status from gay male to lesbian. I've been able to enjoy M/M porn despite not being sexually attracted to either participant. It's more a, "That looks like it feels pretty damn good" thing. So I have no trouble appreciating it, especially if it hits certain kinks I find naturally turn me on.
