I can't really understand why guys like to see two girls having sex. The only reason I can think of is subconsciously they think they might get to join in or something.

I would disagree on the subconscious aspect of it. Mostly it's just asthetics, and also to see the passion that they exhibit for each other can also be exciting. A menage-a-trois with 2 girls is an infinitely complicated endeavour at the best of times, too, but I guess that doesn't stop people from fantasizing.

Sometimes I feel like I shouldn't look at girl-on-girl because they're sharing something intimate that's beyond my ability to experience.

Personally I've felt that girl-on-girl isn't actually that passionate... always seems like the people involved are forcing it to me, and it seems more like it is made by men for men... though admittedly I don't go looking for it very much so I might just not have seen any good work.
Though other people have explained why men like it so much already, and I feel a bit stupid for not thinking of that.

Despite my status as a gay male, I find pretty much all of it attractive in some capacity, even lesbians. Just because I wouldn't want to be a participant doesn't mean I can't appreciate watching people having a good time. I imagine a lot of women (and probably more than a few straight men) feel similarly.

Same with me, only change the status from gay male to lesbian. I've been able to enjoy M/M porn despite not being sexually attracted to either participant. It's more a, "That looks like it feels pretty damn good" thing. So I have no trouble appreciating it, especially if it hits certain kinks I find naturally turn me on.

Sometimes M/M porn provides for those specific kinks of mine that I can't find as easily (or can't find done well) in F/F.

So despite not having any sexual feelings towards the opposite sex, you seem to find some kind of aeshetic appreciation for this type of thing? Interesting...speaking as a Bi male, girl on girl has been one of those things that I can definately watch/enjoy but I never really actively search for it, so I just stick with straight/gay porn. Might be the lack of penetration I find dissapointing with girl-girl.

probably true then

as far as I can tell 3 years in all girls boarding school, no one ever admited they liked or showed an interest in that kind of stuff, but thats just my experience, plus I wasnt freinds wiht evryone so I wouldnt know their deep dark sexual desires (aparently there was a rumour that some girls were "re-watching" the tent sex scene from broke back mountain more than once)
