Someone mentioned religions, I actually have a problem with women going out with muslim men, I just don't trust them and have a strong dislike for the islam religion as it is.
Sorry if that offends people.
Why would it offend anyone? It's only an ignorant generalization.

Not really bothered, as long as they have a nice body, face and I can get on with them well then I don't care what colour they are. I have many friends who are all different creeds and colours who I wouldn't hesitate to jump into bed with, some I actually have done:p

Though funnily enough I've only ever dated black girls so far for some reason, my friends call me racist for it but then since when did I give a shit about what they think? I'm sorry that it only seems to be black girls at the moment who can hold an engaging conversation with me.

I'm perfectly fine with them. Even beyond a whole "not my business" thing, I almost feel like I should actively give my blessing to such relationships. Option 1.

I do find people of certain ethnicities (including my own) more attractive than others, but I'm overall not discriminate on that certain point. Option 4.

Why would race matter? I certainly don't mind.

And I hope the 3 people who chose the 2nd option are joking or trolling, otherwise I might be worried.
Somethings can disgust you without you taking a negative action. For some the Appalachian accent might be repulsive but it doesn't mean you hate the person speaking it, or in anyway wish to regulate their life in a different manner. Its just something against your preference. Just like interracial marriage . For me its not cause I hate black or white people its just I've never seen a marriage like that that didn't end in divorce or mooching off welfare. Same with illegal immigrants and redneck women. I don't hate any of the races I just hate the end that the ensuing marriages results in. (many kids, government welfare). But I would never in any way deny the right of interracial marriage.

I don't believe in god, but if I did, I would point to the amazing and uncommon attractiveness of mixed-race people as evidence that god dislikes racial purity.

There is no reason to oppose interracial relationships aside from ignorance and racism. People are people. Cultures may differ, but races don't. To say that people of differing races shouldn't enter a relationship because their child won't have a "racial identity" (an utterly useless social construct that isn't important to people that don't have it and often leads those that do to hatred and violence) or because they will inevitably end in divorce or welfare is to make ridiculous generalizations and speak from a place of profound ignorance.

I'm Caucasian, I typically only like Caucasian women and I'm staying true to that.

Well, I'm half-Caucasian half-Filipino but I don't like the idea of dating a Filipino girl unless she's a half-Caucasian like me. This is just in terms of aesthetics, though.

I've no problem with interracial relationships. People can be with whoever they want.

I hate to break it to you, but the blacks I know aren't too keen on interracial dating either. It has to do with personal preference. And while your friends shouldn't be giving you shit for what you do in your own life, you have to understand the way they think is how an awful lot of people think. This particular site may be on your side, but this site represents a small portion of far left ideals mostly from teenagers who have never experienced life outside of their parents' house.

I could go on a big tirad about how all of the people I know in *this group* mistreats *this other group*, and it would all be stuff I have seen with my very eyes, but I'm not going to do that. Instead, I'm just going to say this:

I don't really care as long as they treat each other right. That's what's important. Not being worldly, not proving you aren't racist, but because you truly care for that person.

I love women of colour wether they are light or dark and have dated many different races in my life with no regrets. I doubt many of the nay sayers would say no to Beyonce ;)

19yr old white male. I've no problem at all with interracial dating. I've been attracted to a few black girls, feel head over heels for an asian chick one time and though I've got no problems with my own race, I've never dated a white girl(come to think of it I've never dated any girl)

Indeed.

It's worth mentioning that the term 'race' was invented, and pioneered by 18th Century Creationists who had yet to discover DNA.

It's obsolete in our modern day classification of animals. The most used term which resembles it would probably be Ethnic Group; which really highlights just how meaningless it is to me.

When it comes to skin colour I've actually got a thing, sexually, for certain others besides my own.

Well, i wouldn't take things that far and deny that other human races exist. There are racial differences between humans- Caucasians have a relativly high alcahol tolerance, hair varies between races, in colour and substance. East Asians have higher cheekbones as opposed to other races, and archelogists can tell the race of a human skeleton just by looking at it. (If it is sufficently preserved)

I would also argue that people were well aware of the different races prior to the 18th century. When Aristotle was devising Virtue Ethics, he argued (bizzarly) that exteremes of skin colour are vices in that being too black or too white where taken to be signs of cowadice. Likewise, when a Numidian auxila unit was stationed on Hadrians Wall in the 1st century AD, it's hard not to imagine that the native Britons did not notice something was different about them.

Of course, i believe we are all inhertantly equal, no matter what or who you are, I just think that denying that different races exist is going a bit too far.

On topic, it would be rationally inconsitant of me to believe in racial equality but be against mixed-race relationships. I could rightly be called a hypocrite for holding that view. If the Op's friends believe in racial equality but do not believe in mixed-race dating, then they are hypocrites. I would suggest that the OP raises this point with them.

I dont mind who dates who, it is up to them not me.

Also, I personally have seen beautiful people of every ethnicity... I would have dated them IF I asked them out... OR if we didnt live miles away from each other AND I had asked them out.

Do like I did and pretend your color blind.... No, no. I jest.

I'm white and I've dated both an asian and a black girl. Strange thing is, it was the same girl. She had all kinds of heritage running through her vains. Pretty as could be though...

I'm not denying that within the human race there isn't a number of different groups who posses common characteristics almost unique to them.

I'm just saying that the term 'race' is a bad way of describing them. You see; those 18th Century biologists I mentioned actually often thought that different races were different of different species. Race was used as an arbitrary classification based more or less on the the location they were confined to.

Yes. There common characteristics within groups, these characteristics have evolved over thousands of years to help people survive their environment and partly for social reasons. Why don't we just call them what they essentially are: a group of people sharing common ethnicity, or an Ethnic group.

Well you know what Aristotle was like. When it came to people (particularly women) he seemed to forgo logic quite a bit.

But I was really referring to how scientists actually classified different human characteristics relative to geographical groups of people.

Also, I agree with this.
