It's bloody annoying. Especially when people say it.
You mean like say it person? Who the hell does that, i would really just involuntarily punch them if someone said it infront of me.
I'm close to doing that with a bunch of people in my school, always saying 'lol' or rofl' instead of just fucking laughing! My friend always says, instead of happy or sad, stuff like "I was all happyface". The only example I use is from This weeks' Unforgotten Realms ("Question Mark Face?"), since that was funny and used in a good manner. Instead of 'lol', I type in an actual laugh (like 'hehehe' or 'haha'), that's acceptable.

I'm sick of seeing all of those dumbass abreviations. I cant stand it when people say them. There is a girl in my class last year who would always say either omg or lol. And she would never draw out a smiley face, it would always be that stupid colon parenthesis thing.

No actually, I quite like my senses.

In all honesty, I use lol to much

Sweet zombie jesus this! but I only use it because its better then typing hahahahahahahaahaaha.
I don't mind seeing it typed, but there are some kids who SAY "lol". Um, if you are laughing out loud IRL-just LAUGH! Ugh.

Although I think there needs to be something like CQTS. (Chuckling quietly to self)

Saying "lol" as a response in a face to face interaction is inexcusable. Slightly patronizing too.

Ok now i am a bit disturbed by what you just said. These are "friends" of yours, why? I dont think i need to remind you what should be done here.
Well, he's been my friend for years and only just started saying it;

I hate it! I also hate ROFL and the dreaded ROFLCOPTER!!!
Yes.
Can we get rid of ROFL...
and NomNom while we're at it? There's enough real people who eat like animals, do we really need to imitate them?
What about Fap Fap? Is that ok?
I'm glad there's a few I don't know about. So, I dread to ask, what's Fap Fap mean?
Eh, might want to look that up yourself.

In all honestly, I'd rather hear the former.
Then I have nothing to contribute to this conversation. God damn I want to type it... must... resist...

it is overused, and i hate when people SAY it at wall. "lawls" wtf? your in talking LAUGH! i meet those people all the time. they have a stone cold look yet they still meaningfully say lol. that's the part that annoys me the most. so if i use lol im actually laughing, or chuckling. but somehow lol has replaced laughing so i must be stuck in the midevil times because i can laugh with joy.

I know it was hard, well done though. One day at a time, remember?
