I think he just wanted to take the express elevator.Reed Spacer said:I guess he got...shafted.
Seriously, though, that was so stupid he literally deserved it. He rammed the doors, for God's sake.

funny. Don't think I'm a bad person for it, it's all in the presentation.
You forgot the quotation marks around "humor" there.ciortas1 said:Sorry, I'm a huge sucker for 4chan humor.Ironic Pirate said:snip
I dont see how you could be wrong about that. If you think its funny then who the fuck am I to tell you that "You're wrong!".danpascooch said:Yeah, that guy died...I guess the question is, considering so many people die every day, is it wrong to laugh if someone dies in a hilarious way?
It was funny when people were still traumatized by it.Ironic Pirate said:ciortas1 said:I find

I don't think either of those are funny. The first one was an interesting concept with shit-awful execution, and the second was just all around terrible. Hah, it's funny 'cuz the towers are smoking... except it isn't.
If he hit the doors once and fell I would feel bad, but did you see the second time he hit them and the doors opened up halfway? What the hell was he thinking hitting them a third time?Ghengis John said:What the fuck is wrong with you people. If you died and some asshole burst out laughing I'm sure your family would be ins stitches. This kind of attitude is how we end up with trolls who mail corpse photos to the parents of children killed in auto accidents. You're sick. I can already tell that's not going to be a popular opinion. But that's my two cents.danpascooch said:We all know of the famous Darwin Awards, and then there's this:

I'm not trying to troll here, and I want a mature discussion, if this question disgusts you, go somewhere else, because that is not my intention.
Personally I did laugh at the video, I don't really think that's wrong, I don't really subscribe to the notion that once someone has died, nothing bad can be said about them. What that guy did was stupid, really stupid, period.
EDIT: I'm kind of surprised at the overwhelming response of "NO", I mean, that's my opinion, I'm just surprised so many share it.....YAY!
I'll make a joke about anything. But not somebody else's death.
Yeah this guy was an idiot. Everyone loses their head at some point. My dad's in a wheelchair and I know just how it feels when some douche sees you coming up to the elevator and presses the "door close" button. And it happens a lot. Just because people don't want to be crampt in the elevator for 30 seconds they stare right at you and push that button. Imagine how it feels for the person in the chair. My dad's disability is the biggest source of frustration and pain in his life. Things like that just throw it right back in his face. Everyone loses their temper sometimes, or makes a dumb mistake then logic goes out the window.
I also think you guys shouldn't laugh because you don't know the circumstances behind why the guy's in a chair in the first place. If he had a stroke and that wound him up in the chair then he might seem fine but have suffered brain damage that makes it hard for him to keep his emotions in check. If you don't believe me well wait till somebody you know gets a stroke then try taking care of them. The doctor will warn you they can't control their emotions anymore. You will not believe the gravity of that warning (no pun intended) until you see it.
Much like a conservative who votes no on stem cell research until somebody they know is staring down Parkinson's or Alzheimer's or a person who thinks they UNDERSTAND what it's like to have children, you'll never really get it till you're there.
No problem, just those two seemed poorly executed.ciortas1 said:Sorry, I'm a huge sucker for 4chan humor.Ironic Pirate said:snip
He wasn't thinking. That's the plain and short of it. Like I said in another one of my replies, when somebody you know has a stroke sometimes the things they do will seem idiotic or crazy and other times they'll just break your heart. You can only laugh because you're ignorant. I don't blame people for their medical conditions. I have seen my own dad act the same way, which leads me to believe this man had a stroke. It terrifies us and we have to stop him immediately. That said, maybe he didn't, maybe he is just a moron. I still find it hard to laugh contrasting it to my own experiences. I don't know what you've gone through in life but somethings change you. If you lost a child let's see if you'd still laugh at dead baby jokes for instance. It's my firm belief you can laugh only because the situation has never hit home for you. You're just like the people who hit the door close button when they see a person in a wheelchair come rolling up. That's humanity. Say what you want about our secular world, it would be nice if more people would utter the phrase "there but for the grace of God goes I." once in a while or some secular equivalent there of.danpascooch said:If he hit the doors once and fell I would feel bad, but did you see the second time he hit them and the doors opened up halfway? I don't think it's so wrong to laugh when someone does something so stupid.
