I don't see why not, but no one better give me any, because those things are creepy as hell (they also attract bugs, which are worse).

Honestly, I've never gotten the whole flowers-as-standardized-gift thing. It seems like a better idea to give a gift tailored to the likes of the individual.

Well, I generally like plants, but I prefer living ones. So, flowers are fine, but in a pot, with soil and stuff, no the decapitated variation. They are not dead after a few days, and stay fresh really long if treated well.

Are you actually going to do this?

Don't be surprised if you get a weird look and then he doesn't call you back later.
Unless he likes flowers or something? Is this an inside joke?

If someone gave me flowers (being a dude) I wouldn't know what to do with it.
Hugs are always good, though.

Everybody seems to think Valentine's Day is about guys trying to impress their girlfriends. So why can't it be about girls impressing their boyfriend, too?

Christ. How is this even an issue? If you want to give someone flowers, give them flowers. I doubt the guy in question will be offended by them being offered on valentine's day.

I really don't see why not. Any reason it shouldn't be?

There is only one good valentines gift for men, which is sex.
Actually that is an all purpose gift.

... Why the fuck wouldn't it be.
Flowers are like the least expensive way of saying "I would like for our genitalia to touch". Why would the gender of the giver matter.

No, really, I think I am missing something here.

Acceptable? Yes.
A waste of time? YES!
Men do not want flowers. Besides, men do not care about v-day. V-day is all about the woman. Spoiling her and giving her crap.
Mens version of V-day is March 14th.[footnote]Feel free to look it up online.[/footnote] We just need more women to adhere to the rules and understand if they want their day, we damn well better get ours.
I give my honmei chocolate on V-Day.

Seriously if the guy likes it yes. But I rather give him something that I know he would like and something that speaks of his interests and personality

I wouldn't want flowers, but I don't see why it would be "unacceptable". Just.. unexpected and different.

Well... a less expensive way of saying that... would be to just say it >.>

I got some beautiful flowers once for valentine's day. And it totally made me feel fruity. They were from a girl, obviously, but anyway.

Nothing wrong with flowers, even though I'm embarrassed to get 'em. ... c_c

If the man likes flowers, yes.
If he doesn't, it's a bad present and thus a bit of a dick move.
A dick move? Unless it's intentionally meant to be insulting, I think perhaps they just need to give it more thought... but a dick move? I don't think that really applies.

I certainly wouldn't mind receiving flowers, overall I think it's the thought that counts. If you think he'd like flowers, go right ahead.

I was working on the assumption, "Buying a gift you want yourself, for someone else." That, I consider to be a dick move.

Nah...I personally just like getting candy. Neutral candy, not like a box of chocolates, like those nasty chalk hearts xD

Lol, it's odd at least, thoughtless at a higher level
