I dunno if it is unacceptable its the thought that counts, I'm just going to say no because if your think about it most men don't like flowers. har har there is probably only one plant Men are into (if you're into that kind of thing).
In all seriousness I think it would just be terribly awkward to receive flowers, I don't own a vase, I don't know any guy friends who own vases. Unless the girl is trying to confuse me or play some long ball game where she finds out the plants died because I couldn't take care of them as some long stretched out relationship mind game I can assume she doesn't know me at all.
By all means tape a rose to a copy of dead space 2 to make it more festive just don't expect a bouquet to go over to well.
