Nope.

Not really, as I live in America (Arkansas specifically) and if ANY snow comes down all hell breaks loose. Schools and government buildings close, people rush to markets buying "survival" supplies. Pure, unadulterated insanity.

You think your country is bad? I live in Norway, for christ sake. The country where we go armed to school incase we meet a polar bear, drive whales to exctingtion and invented skiing.
and still the whole f*****g country goes to a complete standstill when the Thermometer creeps below - 15 Celsius. I mean, you would think we would be ready for this!! trains are down, buses won't start, and the morning rush ain't over yet, cuz of all the idiots driving off the road and stuff.

The first thing people up here did when they heard about global warming, was running around cheering, before some smartass came and told them that it will eventually lead to a ice age, not warmer climate.

pleas stop us, before it's to late!
(not the american way)

Okay, not everything here is true, but you can't prove it!

Ehhh it's a good excuse for delaying going back to college. It's pretty pathetic though, as soon as theres a good couple of milimeters of snow the schools are like 'Someone could fall over! We'll get blamed! QUICK SHUT!'
We need to man up. It's been snowing since what? The 20th of December on and off and everyone's acting surprised that it's snowed and all the news channels are like BREAKING NEWS....SNOW. How is snow breaking news? Stupid country.

I bet people in Norway, Sweden etc. laugh at us.

On the one hand, my sign-on date with my New Deal advisor has been rescheduled.

But on the other, it's unlikely Royal Mail is going to be round to deliver my PRECIOUS PACKAGES.

So, for me? About 50-50

Hey I get to watch the end of West Side story and get some revision done so I'm not complaining, but yeah our country can't deal with any amount of snow can it. Then again its not like we have to deal with it very often so its not really a problem. Of course if snow is going to start falling more and more in the future we might have to change.

Just remember, always follow the British and we'll tell the magical sky ice to let you live.

Inadequacy? The roads are blocked because of snow. Rather than 'inadequacy' I think it's God trying to tick us off.

Having said that, if I wasn't British - I'd probably laugh at us.

Snow hasnt affected us much. But now scotland has ran out of grit sooo car accidents ahoy. And in true scottish style, we will need the temperature to drop below -10 before theyll let us go home from school - im typing this during my free period...
I'm hoping its gonna snow so much i cant get out my street so i dont have to go in... Itll be fun going home later on.

I completely forgot about the snow, I even forgot to look out the window. Only got 3cm of snow here, enough to make driving to work a pain in the ass cuz the slopes are so steep, but not enough for a decent snowball fight.

I just love how everyone on FB is all like "OMG SNOW!!" and there is this overwhealming urge to ignore work and make snowmen all day.

Am well jealous of kids, can't remember ever having a snow day when I was in school in the 90's.

Thats cause there was no snow in the 90's, in fact the early 00's were mostly snow less as well

Well that was my front view in Liverpool:

It was snowing for a while, enough for my footprints to disappear by the time I got inside the house, dropped my coat and turned to take a picture.

-22 celsius here, and snow up the arse. Get stuffed, you britons.

From what I assume, your country shuts down on snow because you don't have the stuff needed to keep roads/railroads/whatevers safe? Do you guys fit snow tyres during the winter, or have non-freezing diesel?

In Yorkshire, we've got at least 3/4 inches, or at least where I am.

It's caused everything to slow down a lot - My next day delivery parcel was a day late :p

Yeah. I'm sure Denmark and Finland and all the other real Nordic countries laugh their asses off at us all for not being able to cope with a bit of snow.

We are pretty unorganized for extreme weather.
