Discomfort. From a computer chair. You can't be serious.

Though, I may have a solution for you:

Wait, You're uncomfortable..sitting down... in your chair? Interesting.

Anyway, I always sit in a chair at home, or on my bed with my back against the wall when I'm at college. I can't play games lying down.

The only real time PC gaming is uncomfortable is when you are trying to do it on a laptop. PC games are almost always worth playing on the PC, even if there is a console version available to play. Your question is loaded. It's like asking 'Is it worth playing xbox live with all these douche-bags?'. It hardly encompasses the entire populations experience. Sometimes I enjoy oblivion on my xbox, and other times I want better graphics and control that I get by playing it on my desktop. Nothing is keeping you from getting a recliner in your computer room and sitting with that at your computer desk.

What discomfort? Are you actually suggesting the only way to play games is by lying down? Because then I think you're quite alone with that. Most people also play their console games sitting.

Damn, I don't even know how you would go on about trying to play anything lying down. If you're back down, you're going to be peering over yourself (and probably getting your feet in the way), meaning your neck gets tired. If you're sideways, then so is the screen in relation to you.
No, I think most people would have more discomfort trying to play lying down than playing in the usual way and sitting. Also, it would look extra lazy for anyone happening upon the scene.

Let's face it, PC gaming is uncomfortable.
This is not true, why just the other night me and my buddy had a small lan party sitting in recliners with laptops and just used the arm of the chair for the mouse.

I can't game laying down. It's weird and feels awkward, so whether I can lay down or not doesn't effect my choice of platform. Also, it's pretty easy to use a gamepad for a PC, xbox controllers plug straight in and work and PS3 controllers need an easily downloaded driver.

the discomfort in my case comes from not being able to play most games, and having to figure out which ones i CAN play. i dont like having to upgrade my PC, so i just play console

and i am more comfortable sitting on my bed with a controller, too

While it's not the optimum choice for cost-effective gaming hardware... buy a laptop.

Problem solved.
My primary gaming PC is my laptop and it's hard to game on if doesn't have a mouse attached.

Unless you live in the mid-90s and still use a ball mouse, you can utilize pretty much any surface for your mouse. I play games lounged out on my couch all the time.

[small]Wow, what a clean and unbiased poll you have here....[/small]

*ahem*

Um...To be completely honest, I don't really understand the question. PC gaming is uncomfortable...because you sit in a chair? What the WHAT? I mean...Are you kidding? You're actually calling sitting in a chair...."discomfort"?

You DON'T mean that, right? Please tell me that's not what you meant.

And as a side note, I think it's absolutely hilarious that you can substitute the phrase "PC gaming" with "A prostate exam" in the title and it still makes perfect sense.

OP, what? I have never once been uncomfortable in my computer chair. It's actually more comfortable for me than playing console.

PC gaming is not universally uncomfortable.

It is definitely uncomfortable for me(I hate using keyboards), but its a giant cushy chair to others.

Xbox 360 is hell of a lot more comfortable for me on longer play runs, not due to sitting (as my spots are pretty comfy, actually), but because of the stress on my wrist from the mouse, even when using more wrist-friendly applications and such, it still causes me great annoyance.

Also, why is the OP trying to claim that PC gaming is the "better" experience? I play PC and 360 and love both, only find 360 more comfortable for my wrists, why can't people ever just get along with the whole console vs. personal computer crap?
