Just the yes or no kind of slims the chances of being able to come up with any good info. Incredibly skinny/boney guys/girls are normally unhealthy looking, while obese people don't look like they have long to live. It's kind of a odd set up. Though technically as far as my female friend told me, 'skinny is in' and such.

This is coming from a semi-husky dude, getting thinner....as soon as I stop getting stuck on this one size. My body suddenly tells me I'm excessively hungry all the sudden when I reach that point. Maybe I should check my wait..noted.

I think the guys who usually do best are the ones with almost no fat but moderate muscle mass. There's a huge amount of variation in taste though. You know who tends to go for skinny guys though? Asian girls, and artsy types. Not all of them, but enough of them. As a skinny guy myself, it's held me in very good stead.

In the end though, if you're not having luck then the most important things are probably grooming, good attitude and the all important unintrusive self confidence and self respect. Chin up, straight back, smile on the face and this-is-who-i-am-it's-a-shame-if-you-don't-like-me-but-that's-your-choice-i'm-happy-with-who-i-am attitude.

Confidence sells any body type. You just need to know how to wear your own type and be comfortable with it. If you don't like that you are skinny, no one else will either.
Confidence doesn't sell obesity. Unless by "Sell" you mean "sometimes make hilarious". OT: Slimness is good being underweight is unattractive male or female not nearly as unattractive as obesity though. Girls like muscles, unfortunately.

It's all subjective based on what people like, we all have various raits that some people may like or dislike, while there is a larger percentage of people who prefer people who aren't overweight, some might not give a rat's ass. It's all based on the person in question from what I've seen, though skinnier would be better for you, health wise.

The worst thing about being thin is trying to get clothes that bloody fit!
Funny, I think the same thing about being fat.
It's individual, and if I had to theorize, is probably based more on what each person considers to be "healthy", unless their love truly is blind, etc.

Oh...I thought you were asking if "Is skinniness attractive to you?", not just in guys. That being said, I'll just say confidence, confidence, confidence, and that's all I've got to say about that.

Now, to answer my own question, it is and it isn't. If a girl is too skinny, it's a turn-off. If a girl is too obese, that is a turn-off, but if I HAD to choose, I would choose the girl who is too skinny to save money on food, but seriously, both extremes are unattractive.

"Your a biggot and a slob for actually caring about what a girl looks like if you date her!" shout the angry female users of The Escapist, and no, I'm damn well not. Personality plays a very large part for me, too, but if there is no physical attraction, the relationship just can't work, and we might as well just be friends.

Yes. Yes. A million times yes.

It shows that a person has restraint and also cares about the way that they look. It may seem shallow to some people but those are two important qualities. Although to be fair, I don't find skinniness nearly as attractive as I find people who are fit.

I like tall guys; so do most girls. Tall, 'meaty' guys tend to be generally well-proportioned and therefore objectively attractive; tall, lean guys tend to have collarbones that smack you in the face when you go for a hug and cut your face off. Slightly more normal-sized slim guys fall back into the well-proportioned bracket, though, so I'd say it depends on your height-width ratio...
As a tiny little girl myself, being able to touch my opposite hands to opposite wrists behind someone's back is a bit weird.

So here's my main question. Do women think skinny guys are good looking? Would they rather have a fat, or somewhat chunky guy?
My vote for no just tied this game up so let me expound. No, skinny guys are not considered attractive in north America at least. In north America the idealized male body type is muscular V shaped torso etc. Although some people will go for other guys for a variety of reasons (but mainly because the idealized image is retardedly superhuman) this does not alter that societal conventions point towards it. On an individual level, there are different strokes for different folks. Whatever.

So to answer your question:
Yes some women find skinny men attractive. Not the majority. But neither does the majority find fat/chunky men attractive. The problem with your questions are the generality of them.

My BMI is 18.6, if I didn't eat for 2 days I'd be underweight...
I hope skinny is attractive. A lot of the girls I know say they think large muscles are repulsive. There is hope...

I don't give out my friend's names over the internet, nor am I a personals site... I think this post was seriously uncalled for.
