Religion is a choice based on what YOU as an individual want, there is no wrong or right religion.

Religion is evil. Stick to your own personal beliefs/idealogies/e.t.c. You should not need groups and buildings telling you what is right and wrong.
I guess the government, and everyone else who is opinionated and believes that they are right is also evil. Like you.

EDIT: Besides, many people flock to the religion that they relate to the most, as opposed to what you seem to think they do, which is to actively try to convert others with constant morals. Yeah, some religions do that, but do ALL do? If you said yes, you need a lesson in world religions.
See, but one of the largest religions in the world Actively tries to convert people, which makes other people flock to it. This is exactly like controlling the masses!

....Except you can just say no...It's that easy...

And how is religion "controlling" the masses? People following a certain religion tell other people about their religion, and said other people decide to believe it as well. People make up their own minds. They choose whether to follow it. Its not like the people spreading religion are holding guns to people's heads while they do it. Spreading ideas isnt controlling people. Thats like saying that by me trying to convince people that a certain movie is bad, i'm trying to control people. I think the problem here is that you're just paranoid, thinking that organizations with power are always corrupt.

"more good that evil"...how could you possibly know.
"they all teach peace and to be nice to eachother". Yes they do, unless someone believes something different to you, or is a woman, or a homosexual. Then you have to treat them like property or kill them with a rock. Try reading the material without picking and choosing what is real and what isn't.
I didn't answer the poll. Absolutist statements are arrogant and nonsensical.

If they did, I would not hate them so. Instead they try to control the world with their 'good morals' which often is full of hate against a group for being 'weird' or 'unnatural'. Ofcourse, if they just wanted to ***** about it, fine, but they try hard to force others to think like they do which is why I am more vocal against them.
Where does it say to treat woman or a homosexual like property, nowhere. It says not to judge another man. Try reading the material without adding. At least in Catholic religion, it says to never force another man to act against his conscience.

And here is a quote, directly from the Catechism of the Catholic Church regarding homosexuals:

"The number of men and women who have deep-seated homosexual tendencies is not negligible. This inclination, which is objectively disordered, constitutes for most of them a trial. They must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided. These persons are called to fulfill God's will in their lives and, if they are Christians, to unite to the sacrifice of the Lord's Cross the difficulties they may encounter from their condition."

And I'll admit, I don't really know if it has caused more good or bad, but logically it would have created more good. The only reason you hear all the bad things religious people do is because they are expected to be good.

Edit: I can not speak for all religions though, this is solely based on Catholicism
And also, I do know alot of people screw up the interpretation of this, but can you condemn a religion for something it doesn t say

Okay, that may prove you right, but there is a huge denomination of people who believe that being gay or being a woman is wrong, and they turn to their own religion to hide their Homophobic and sexist beliefs.
So, religion is to blame automatically? More so than the induviduals that stupidly think being female or homosexual is somehow "bad", or even at all? Thats what I was getting. These induviduals should be even more to blame by using religion as a cloak to protect themselves while religion is instead seen as the true culprit.

Well it is to blame...... If you were to ask 15 Priests about gay marriage, or homosexuality in general, at least 10 of them would say that it goes against the Bible, even though it does not. And many other Orthodox Religions are fully against Homosexuality... So yea it is to blame..
