If a movement's banner has become nothing more then a sexual organ then there is probably something wrong with your movement.

Feminism in general is ridiculous, most things are equal now and the ones that aren't are generally in favour of women (Alimony*, anyone?).

Madness?

This. IS.

Okay, I won't do that.

OT: Erm, I'm not really sure why anyone would buy them. Imagine doing that with the male equivalent - you'd get some looks.
Ok, i'll do it:

THIS. IS. VULVA!

[small]* Alimony is a ridiculous law, once separated what the hell is stopping the spouse from getting a new job other than them being lazy gits.

Child support is a different matter, the spouse should continue paying support for their child after a separation until that child reaches 18.[/small]

Okay. This is just plain madness and anyone who buys it is just as insane as Lady Gaga. Come to think of it she would be just the person to get these..hell she may even make an outfit designed to look like one.
Lol she made one out of beef, I literally laughed for ten minutes straight when I saw that.

PS, I don't think this discussion is really about feminism at all, but about how all of you have been raised to blush when you see certain body parts.
Ant that is wrong how?
Is it wrong for some people to value Modesty?
Is it wrong for some people to rather not see certian parts of another Body outside of the bedroom, even if its fake?

I don't get how its wrong.
I couldn't care less if someone wanted to wear something like these but, i am wrong for not wanting to see it?
You said it was wrong, not me-- I'm just pointing it out because it's difficult to have a real discussion about things like this when people think "eeeeew" whenever they see something that isn't inherently vulgar. It's not wrong that you were all raised that way-- that's just how it is. But you shouldn't expect people to censor themselves just because you personally consider human genitals to be explicit content.
ok, i understand.
And really i don't expect people to censor things like that just because of my feelings, its just some people seam to think that just because i do think that some things are better shown in the Bedroom that id like to see all women/men covered up from head to toe.
I mean, i can just look the other way no problem, but it gets on my nerves when people like to shove things like this in others faces just to be Edgy.
And really that goes for anything.
:/

Vagina pillows? That made me laugh for a few minutes.

That seems kind of strange, and a bit stupid. Not feminism, attention-whorism.
I the exact same reaction + thought.

It just seems stupid to me, but then again, I went to Pride and there was a place called the C*nt Corner. My friends were getting all excited from the wall-to-wall pictures of vaginas, but it was about as sexually arousing to me as staring at a medical textbook.

I mean, if you want to wear a vagina 'round your neck, whatever, but it just seems a bit like objectification to me. Isn't the whole point of feminism for women to stop being objectified?

In the end, it's not my money, and it is just a body part.

I'm honestly surprised that I'm not surprised. Or that I don't mind it at all. Oh, how the internet has changed me.

If people want to wear accesories like that, let them. If you think that makes them batshit bonkers, you're entitled to. Simple as that.

I can see lesbians and fetishists buying this kind of thing, but a straight woman of sane mind probably wouldn't touch this stuff. These aren't symbols of women's liberation, they are more idols of sexual worship. The average TRUE feminist is for women's equality, not the worship of the female genitalia. Or any genitalia, except in its usual context in our chosen daily lives. These are an example either of weird humor or psychosis.

Sound off kids, I'm curious about opinions. Gender, age, status and if you would give me some whys.
You're being rather specific. Funny how no one is giving you any of this information though. lol

OT: It's just like bad art that gets really popular for no reason other than people are weird about it. People want it because some part of their brain fell out, presumably the one part dealing with common sense. Thus, this kind of shit is born. Do normal people want it? Usually not, but we've seen some pretty stupid normal people, am I right?
