Hmm I'm a straight girl so while I'm not entirely sure it's appropriate for me to play it :p it looks tastefully done to me and not at all like a fetish game. The art is cute too and the girls don't look overly sexualised.

I think maybe there's only Joker from ME that is the single disabled games character I can think of? That's kind of sad.
I know of multiple women who read plot-based eroges.

Well, I can safely say that I have failed my first playthrough. I thought I was being reasonable with my choices, aiming more towards Lilly than any of the others, but it became all too clear that I was destined to be alone when...

...the only person I was able to spend time with during the festival was Kenji, in which we decided to hang out on the roof, and get completely wasted off of a 12-month old bottle of whiskey he had lying around. After some dialogue berating women and Kenji's apparent lack of stamina, he began to what I assume was come onto me. Apparently, I stepped backward too far, crashed through a chain-link fence, fell off the roof in a drunken daze, and died.

Game Over.

I'm more than willing to start over once again, but needless to say I was a bit depressed to find out my fate. I thought the choices I were making were sound enough, focusing on Lilly in the few chances Hisao is able to talk to her. I'm trying to figure out what I did wrong. That was a lot of dialogue and story to go through only for the game to end like that.

I mean, come on, my Hisao pursued none of the girls?!

Y'know what's worse?

In one of the other routes Kenji tells you
that if he ever wanted to murder someone he'd throw em off the roof and make it look like an accident.

I have finished all the paths, it was very good and the sex scenes were tasteful (or hilarious if you took Emi's route). Didnt make me feel a large range of emotions unlike other players thanks to my rock hard visage but it was damn good.

Also, Lilly>Rin>Emi>Hanako>Shizune

...

You mean to tell me...

...that bastard killed me on purpose?

Here I was thinking he was one of the most amusing characters of the story, too. Well, like I said, I plan on starting over once again, this time thinking my choices over carefully before I speak. I guess I did get a unique gallery artwork of Hisao and Kenji drunk though.

That has to amount for something.

I love it personally. I have first heard about it only a few days ago when I read the title of the news thread that announced it's release. I thought it was going to be an exploitative sex game involving disable girls. Kind of akin to that one rape game mentioned here a long time ago.

Instead, I found something much better. A game that has a cast of varied and lovable characters, a well written story, a nice soundtrack, and plenty of replayability.

I've finished Emi's story yesterday. I enjoyed it. Although I was hoping to get with either Shizune or Hanako.

Second playthrough I unintentionally recieved the ending in which you didn't go with any of the girls to the festival. Kind of a depressing and grim ending.

Now I'm playing Shizune's story. Just got to Act 2 and I'm very much looking forward to how the story develops.

It's strange really. I would really like to call this a really good game, but it's really not a game in the traditional sense. It's more of an interactive novel than anything else. But it does have a lot of the elements of a good game such as the stuff I mentioned in the second paragraph.

I highly recommend this to anyone who hasn't tried it out yet.

Anytime a "Japanese" game comes out these days, people instantly start crying it's perverted and to sound the yellow alerts. I recall a couple games over on another review website were smeared by the reviewers with one stating "Any time someone buys this game, a yellow alert should go off" indicating anyone who would by this game is or will become a child molester.

Though, of course, copious amounts of graphic, brutal violence is fine. In fact, killing hundreds of thousands of people in a realistic shooter is something to be praised as an achievement. But okay a game where a ~12yr elf old girl awkwardly dances around for a few seconds, you'll instantly be infected by pedobear.

Ok. Playing this is going on my To-Do list. The only problem is I just got a new computer and can finally play Skyrim. Playing that game for less than 4-5 hours a day is hard enough, so I'll have to give myself some structure before I induct another game into my schedule.

Oh yeah, I was meaning to download this one of these days. Thanks for reminding me!

As for the game itself, I can't comment. There are a lot of pervy japanese dating sims out there (though that could be because I only hear about the really awful ones), so I am a bit nervous. But from all the praise I am hearing of the game, it actually sounds fairly interesting. Kind of looking forward to this new experience (having not played a visual novel/dating sim before). You encouraged me to download the game, so consider your mission a success.

im going to give you my unbiased opinion
I don't think human beings are capable of being completely, 100% unbiased.
Eh, i like to think i can give a 97% unbiased opinion.

I like to judge games based on it, and it alone. Like how i think of Dragon Age 2. It may be a terrible "Dragon Age" game, but its a great game on its own. Same with Fallout 3. Its one of my favorite games ever, even if its a terrible "Fallout" game compared to what they used to be.

Being unbiased is really simple when you start to drown out the background noise thats everything else. Think of your goal, and only your goal, using as few relations to other things as possible.

I think this visual novel is the most important piece of work to touch my life.
I'm not sure if it just happened exactly when I needed it to, but it hit so many things home for me. It made me think about a lot of very personal things very intensely.

I've set new goals for myself because of this game and I'm happy to report that, for the first time in my life, I'm sticking with them. There is still a lot for me to do until I'm happy with myself, but I now realize that I actually can do it.

The experience was amazing and the feelings very real. I really think everyone should give it a try. I've seen the most hardened cynics on this site come around to liking this VN. I just really hope it can do for you what it's done to me.

edit:
I also want to add that the music is absolutely fantastic.
Nicol did an amazing composition.

In fact, if there are any pianists out there, you can get sheet music and MP3s for the various tracks composed by him (some were not) below:

Played this game to see what all the hype was about. I genuinely enjoyed it. Pretty good story.

Enjoyed it far more than I thought I would, but I guess it makes sense, since I grew up loving choose your own adventure books, and this is like an evolved form of that, and I like romance plots far more than I'll ever admit, but I didn't care for the sex scenes (especially the shed one, you know what I'm talking about...though it was pretty funny) but I can't deny that they were tastefully done, they just weren't my thing,

....Also Lilly is the best, only one that I remember having a concrete resolution, and I HATE when anything makes a romance plot ambiguous (I'm looking at you 70% of the JRPGs I've played)

I'm pretty sure the poll sums up my feelings for this game
"Wasnt planning on it, but i might"

EDIT: Also, wasn't there suppose to be a 'safety mode' that turns off the sex scenes?

In regards to the shed...
I thought it was pretty funny in all honesty. Emi's sex scenes were written as a far more realistic take on how sex actually is, as opposed to some fantasied version of it.

Sometimes experimenting sexually doesn't always lead to positive outcomes, that's for sure.
