Why is there not an option for 'Kim, do us a favour and douse yourself in petrol, light yourself on fire and run at the nearest gang of hoods shouting "come on you fuckers, I'll take you all on"'?

I absolutely despair at not only celebrity culture, but the complete fucking morons that lap it up and give these people the attention that they seem to crave more than oxygen itself

Looking at past idiotic lawsuits that have succeeded, I reckon she's in with a chance. The fact that she's even in with a chance of winning this makes me long for the day the solar system is consumed by the rapidly expanding fire of our dying sun.

Fuck this!
i dont know, the GAP is the second biggest clothing retailer on earth....and dont like to take shit from lower lifeforms like the kardashians. even as ethical of a company the GAP is, im pretty sure they wont hesitate to destroy her.....actually id call that a public service.

Hahahahaha Hahahaha Haha... ha?

Oh, how I love not being American, and, as such, seemingly obsessed with this shit. :p

Wow. What's next, did some one copyright their genome and I ripped off their Y chromosome?
Funny you mention that - quite a few big corporations actually hold patents on human genes. I wish I was making this up: http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2005/10/1013_051013_gene_patent.html

Eh, there's no pics so I did a quick Google and she doesn't look that similar. Besides, the other girl looks a lot less, um... 'hotdog hallway'.
Kardashian barely qualifies as a celeb, or someone with more than two brain cells should give a shit about. I hope she sues all the other celebrities who are slim, dark haired and slightly tanned, she'll make a fortune!
(and of course, this story could be a complete fabrication...)

If Kim wins this lawsuit is it possible to set a precedent that would let people copyright genetic traits? If the model that looks like Kim is older wouldn't it mean that she inherited the traits before Kim and would be the "original owner".

It's at times like this in which i wish we just had a common sense law, just step back from all the legal implicatilites and just go 'shut the fuck up'.

Either that or a gun.

Well, didn't expect to see this today. I am pretty sure for every million people 2 will look alike.

Ummm, that has to be one of the most retarded things i have ever heard/read.
I hope that the law-suit gets thrown out of court for being completely
pointless and waste of time and money.
This so many times, in fact, I think with any lawsuit, if it is found that the lawsuit is unfair or a blatant attempt to shift blame et cetera, the accuser should have to pay for all the defendant's legal fees plus extra for negative reputation that getting taken to court brings. Just as a discouragement for these kinds of stupid cases.
Yeah, i think that they do have to pay the fees like that.
And hopefully they will learn something from it.

can we just set an international rule about sueing over the stupidest shit in history.....or just nuke jersey?*

*kidding
Fixed. :D

Bringing a slightly serious tone to this for a second.

Who watches the shit that makes these silicon based lifeforms popular? Because everybody I know despises shows like Jersy Shore or whatever in the holy name of fuck made this particular tart famous. And everyone I ask is adamant that they, nor anyone they know, even watches that type of shite.

And everyone I speak to online is either as pissed off as me (or more so) about the fact that these airheads think they're special.

So who exactly gives these shows the numbers they need to make money?
i think hollywood execs (i dont fall into the mean and evil corporate conspiracy...but hollywood is legit evil) have about a million people enslaved in china with multiple tvs watching this stuff so much they turn brains dead after a few weeks.

cause quite frankly, if i ever saw anyone acting like those people...id knock the shit out them.

Can't...tell if Kardashian is serious or if she be trollin'...
Wait, read the post about Brits hating American language use, let me retype this.
Kardashian may possibly be mimicking the mannerisms of the common social networking troll.

Well whatever, stupid will be stupid. I saw a few pics of Melissa Molinaro and you could only mistake her for Kim Kardashian at quick glance. Molinaro face has a distinctly different bone structure, especially around her cheeks.

Reminds me of the time Sasha Grey wanted to be taken seriously.

Please don't ask who she is.

For a woman who essentially looks like she was made by sticking a bunch of variously sized beachballs together, she's got the quite the opinion of herself.

OT: Best thing that could happen here is a sudden return to frivolous lawsuits carrying a legal penalty. Would cut the amount of crap like this overnight.
Interesting you say that...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strategic_lawsuit_against_public_participation

What you're talking about here is a SLAPP, and California DOES have laws against what Kardashian is doing. Granted the general use of anti-SLAPP laws is to prevent a small party from being bullied into submission by the threat of legal fees. I call absolutely 0 expertise in legalese, but hypothetically, this lawsuit could end with Kardashian being dismissed and being forced to also pay Old Navys legal fees. It's easier when it's a matter of free speech, but it could very well apply here. Lets hope it does.
Was actually thinking of a law that was on the English statute until the 60's (I think, I'm remembering most of this from an episode of QI} in which if a person was found to have brought a frivolous lawsuit to court, and then lost the case, they could face criminal charges themselves. People used to go to jail and get fined for wasting the courts time, and bugger me sideways if the sentence "wasting the courts time" doesn't sum up this kind of random nonsense in a nutshell.

Srsly, bang her up in San Quentin for a couiple of weeks and see if she's still fussed that someone else looks like her.

P.S. Captcha = ticked off :D
