Then they're a 5.
It's not the scale that's broken in this case, it's the people who refuse to understand or accept their own sexuality.
But surely it's their own understanding of their sexuality that demarks them from a 3 in all cases anyway?
We're all capable of expressing love to any gender - it's just based on our preferences. Hence all the shenanigans. You're telling me you didn't pull the hair of the boy/girl you fancied in primary school?
Hm, I suppose it is, but I mean that that person refuses to even try to understand, that they haven't even bothered. They refuse to accept it. It's less that they've come to understanding that they think they're a zero, it's that they haven't wanted to understand that they're a 5, they want to be a zero.
As for the second part. We can express love to bricks, but not be attracted to them. I did not pull the hair of the girl I liked during primary school. I chased her around a bit though :3
I'm not sure what you mean by preference, but I have only ever been attracted to women. I've spent plenty of time with straight guys. My entire life basically up until the end of highschool, where I found a few girls I liked. I now hang with them, and their (who are now my) friends -almost all of which are girls of varying sexualities and gay guys. I talk to them all, but I have never once been attracted to a guy. I never really thought about it until lately, it's just something that I am. So to have conversations such as this I suppose I'm fairly out of my depth in terms of understanding, I see everything as fairly solid, but I also notice that there are plenty of people (like my girlfriend) who haven't been sure where they sit.

Wow, what an extremely personal question.
PFffffffffFFFFFFffffFFFffFfftttt.
It's all good to talk about anything. Nothing really matters to me. Ask me any question and I shall probably answer it. Why would anyone have anything to hide when it comes to sexualities?
