Like most R&B artists in this millennium, she uses music technology to make up for her lack of vocal talent,
Wow are you serious? You really should do some research before stating stuff like this. I'm not a fanboy, but I did see some videos of her performing live that actually left me speechless.

She's entertaining, but with the auto-tuning and the less than original musical style, she's a passing fad.
If she uses auto-tuning, it's very minimal. Refer to the video posted above.

Frankly, I like her. She's got some wonderfully catchy songs and has a sense of style like no other. Looking forward to seeing her in concert this September.
I think her earlier work, just dance and possibly poker face were her better works. I dont like bad romance as much, it doesnt seem as good for some reason. Also her lack of auto tune makes be happy. Seriously, i listen to Ke$sha and i lose faith in all musicions. Talk into the microphone and you go from a person that cant sing into a robot that cant sing. Yay popular music.

The only good thing he did with his music was give LittleKuriboh something to parody. I also resent any comparisons made between him and Michael Jackson.

I actually liked a lot of songs off of Fame Monster. Speechless, Bad Romance, and Monster are all awesome. Alejandro grew on me.

Just Dance and Poker Face are catchy as hell, but I think it's interesting to see how her style changed.

Well, I don't particularly like her music, but she seems to do her own thing and enjoy doing it and that's something I can respect. Don't really think she deserves bazillions of dollars and the adoration of millions of fans for it but whatever. Certainly not the "worst singer EVAR!!!" or someone who needs to die. Besides, her existence lead to this: and anyone who is even partially responsible for that much awesome packed into 7 mins is okay in my book.

She's creative VISUALLY, but she's a goddamn music artist!!! I cannot stand her, or her style of music. In fact I hate most music that's popular nowadays, and not because its popular, but because it just isn't worth anything to me. I could write music much better than hers, in fact, A LOT OF PEOPLE could, and A LOT OF PEOPLE do, but she's the one ending up with the paycheck at the end of the day. I hate the music industry.

She's okay. I just think she's wasting any talent she has, and could probably do something without the techno-ie pop beats behind her.

I don't have any extreme positions one way or another.

She actually reminds me of an early Madonna more than Michael Jackson to be honest.

I think she's already been around long enough to not be a "passing fad", though it remains to be seen if she'll still be selling heavily in 10 years.

For whatever reason I think it's become "hip" to hate whatever is popular, or at least pretend you do. A good example is when I look at Britney Spears, you look at what people say about her and you'd get the impression that she's one of the most hated people on the planet. However I can almost guarantee if she released an Album tomorrow it would still sell quite well.

Lady Gaga isn't there yet, but we'll see what happens. In general anyone who can perform constantly if they want to, and sell songs like hotcakes is doing something right.

She's good, I like her songs. They're really catchy. Too bad liking her in my School is a sin...

Apparently that whole penis thing was started by her as a joke. That being said, she's not a bad artist, and I occasionally listen to her. I don't dislike her enough that I bought my girlfriend her CD.

Shes a great artist who deserves all the good praise she gets. Personally I would never choose to listen to her music, its just not my thing.

One of the few solo musicians who produces ACTUAL MUSIC. I like her for the most part, but she is probably the least of many, many popular evils. I'm pretty sure the basic demographic here would much prefer her to, say, Bieber or Cyrus, and there are so few good bands that you may as well smile and enjoy the samey techno that she makes.

Most people who don't like her don't like her because she's 'popular' I think. I really like her music and performances.

@hurray forums

thanks for reminding me how much I liked littlekoriboh

My sister looooooooooooves her and I cant stand i. For me, I stop from going crazy by drowning her out with UB40, Culture Club, Flock of Seagulls, George Micheals and the Beatles

I just find her annoying, especially in interviews. She compared herself to Andy Warhol, and said that noone else had sung about sex before.

Get over yourself.
How about every rock band in the 80's, to get you started?

I hate Lady GaGa, but I hate most pop music anyway. I'd consider myself a musician, and I don't care how goddamn naked GaGa is, if the actual songs aren't worth listening, to me, there's no redeeming it. When I see a music video, I'm not after an audiovisual experience, I want a good song.

I'm surprised the OP didn't mention that she writes her own songs. It's, sadly enough, worth mentioning, because it's not very common in pop music.
