Poll: Lady Gaga

Her music is the same soulless commercial trash that the Recording Factory churns out every year, and I've pretty much ceased paying attention to it. What annoys me about GaGa is that you're not ALLOWED to ignore her like every other faddy vocalist. Her army of militant poser/hipster fans keep intruding into discussions about music, even if they have nothing to do with her type of music, and raving about how she's such a special flower and everyone should bow down and worship her.

So really, I don't give a crap about her music, but I have a deep-seated hatred for the segment of her fanbase who seem to believe that she's the most interesting and unique "artist" ever to walk the earth because she wears the same kind of retarded clothing you see in catwalk fashion shows(which I have yet to see ANYONE wear in real life).

Vivaldi? Holst? Bach? Those are artists. Lady GaGa? I think not.

She's a solid, reasonably artistic, pop artist. Even so, elitist as it may be, I'm generally inclined to feel that anything pop does, rock and metal can do - and have done - better. Consider Judas Priest in terms of some of the criteria by which we measure Lady Gaga...
