Am I the only one who is reminded of Idiocracy? Good movie you should check it out.

I like to lead, mostly because I think I can do a much better job than anyone else.

It's sparkling on my screen like a Twilight vampire on a Summer's Day at the North Pole before I inspired the Sun to go from East to West.
Oh, Twilight.
You've given us so many ways to explain how something is sparkling.
And for that, I am eternall grateful.
Personally i'd prefer more methods of describing dullness, sparkling has had several centuries and several legions of poets and authors working on it...

There's a surprising amount of lazy leaders here who prefer second-in-command positions. What's wrong with responsibility? To be at the head of a project and pull it off without a hitch, knowing that it was your leadership that got it through and that, feasibly, it could have all gone to pot and you'd be ruined? Best rush in the world, especially when you get to enjoy your success with your followers.

Step up guys, because the rewards of a true leader far outweigh those of the Second-in-Command.

If something needs to be done, I'll lead. If someone wants meto do something, I won''t get out of the way. I'll make them get out of my way

I try to get out of the way as much as possible. I'm not arrogant enough to think that I'm right all the time, and therefore should be leading, and I'm not stupid enough to think that some one else has all the answers. I'm following my own path, and if you like it and want to make me your leader, go ahead, but I'm not better than anyone else.

You guys really kill me.

Leaders don't claim to lead, or profess a desire manipulate events from the shadows... Leaders lead by example. Period, end of fucking story.

So if you said "yeah, I'm a leader", I want you go to the mirror, give yourself a hard look, and do some serious re-evaluating of yourself, because to delude yourself to that extent really isn't healthy.

I want to lead, but not have the responsibility. Some person said this to me when I joined his brotherhood:

"Don't join us for some feel of self centered, respect hungry ambition. Join us not for the prestige or honor. Join us because you feel strongly about *this topic*."

I joined them for the prestige

Anyway. I voted lead.
...What if I want to object?

I did what you said, but the hordes of mindless peons that follow me around everyhwere kept crowding me as I was looking into the mirror.

I prefer to stay out of the way, usually because I don't care what happens in conflicts between other people, and I'm not willing to use my energy to sway things either way, plus that way you never have to take the blame, or make enemies.
You can always make friends after they have already succeeded and can't get you in trouble.

When a conflict occurs, somebody always loses. If you don't get involved in the conflict, you will never lose!

If I care about an issue, I'll lead by example. If I don't care, I'll get out of the way of people who do.

Advise/follow. The leader always gets the blame. I just get to be smart and manipulate him/her.

I've been told on several occasions that I would make a good leader, but I lack the self-confidence for it...
