We all have our favorite genres, but I'd like to know what your guys' least favorite genres are.
Personally, MMOs are my least favorite. I've played a lot of them in the past, but none of them are really rewarding like a good, long singleplayer game, a quick round of CTF on Team Fortress 2, or an online match of a solid RTS. All MMOs do is take, take, take and give nothing back. Sure, they're fun if you play with some good friends, but the grinding is just annoying. Furthermore, the only real activity to do on most of them is to fight monsters with little quest context other than "Go kill 50 of this guy!". That gets old REALLY fast. And don't get me started on monthly fees.
However, Star Wars: The Old Republic looks like the antithesis of everything I hate about MMOs. Hopefully it will be awesome. I'd pay for it.
