thats really no excuse, im left handed and i still think that playing on PC is a hell of a lot easier than using a xbox controller

It's easier to play a PC gae as a left handed individual assuming you have decent control of your right hand fingers (which I don't.) because you can change the controls to pretty much anything you want in virtually ever PC shooter than there is. If I had better control of my right hand I would absolutely live on PC shooters for this reason alone. I'm really tired of these incompetent console devs who don't understand how to even make a proper southpaw layout or give users total control.

You know, I'm going to go out on a limb here and say the version with your friends would be the best. There's no point to get Left 4 Dead on PC if you know no one on steam, and feel uncomfortable using computers. Likewise, no point getting on the Xbox 360 if you don't plan on getting Live.

There, a simple solution without attacking either platform. Some users should try it some time.

I'm torn. Either I get it for PC and have the mouse for perfect aiming, or I have it on 360 for the better ergonomics of the game pad... Decisions, decisions.

What about us who don't have any friends apart from the rabid rat living in their bathroom for 3 years now? :(
Well, then, I suppose which platform you feel more comfortable with.

I'm downloading the PC version right now, even though most of my friends are getting it on the 360. Hopefully I made the right choice.

I got it on the 360 because most of my friends have it on the 360.

I will more than likely, after christmas get both the orange box and L4D on PC.

I'm condemning myself to eternal mistrust on this forum but I brought the 360 version, because I don't like PC controls. Sure, you better aim with the mouse, but the keyboard just feels weird to me when playing games. There not built for it.

Also, all my friends on 360. And this game needs to be played with friends.
what do you mean they're not built for it ? The PC created the FPS genre ! That's an outrageous comment and even still. If you're talking the 'WASD' form you can always rebind your keys.
Yes, it was, but the keyboard itself wasn't invented with gaming comfort in mind, like say a controller.

Ultimately theres no point trying to argue with a PC fanboys, its as pointless as arguing with any other type of fanboy, so ill just leave it that. *ducks from gun fire*

console. playing games with a joypad sitting on a relaxing couch in front of a 40+" television is just (imho) a far better experience than upright at a desk, and this far outweighs the mouse-or-no-mouse discussion for me.

Another thing to note, the PC version is getting a new server browser some point soon, I don't know about the 360 version. Linky [http://www.l4dmods.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=5:matchmaking-server-browser&catid=2:news]

It should make it easier to find a game if you don't have a huge friends list.

Valve seems to care more for their PC audience, which is an obvious shame though I would say to defiantly go for the PC version

Personally I never felt my 10 euros keyboard to feel uncomfortable but still if you want comfort you could always buy a ergonomic keyboard. There you go, problem solved.
his point is that while FPS controls were designed with keyboard+mouse in mind, keyboards themselves were not designed with gaming in mind.

They were made for typing, not continuous presses of the same keys. Now there are specific gaming-related keyboards, and most people can do fine with normal ones (ergonomic keyboards were also designed for typing, not gaming), i must say i prefer a gamepad too.

Damn, I hit PC instead of Console.

While the graphics for the PC version will be better, I prefer playing on consoles, simply for the feel.
