Pararaptor [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/profiles/view/Pararaptor]? It's possible he's on Mellow Leprechauns with Furburt and Hubilub, but I wouldn't know for sure.
...shit, this thread makes me feel old and miserable.
Yep that's him. Ah, I remember him like it was just yesterday ... this site feels different then it was before. Like I said, perhaps I grew into it allowing me to know what's appropriate to say and what to avoid at all costs lol. Also you're not old, you are a great addition here and I wish I actually joined in 2008- I missed out on a lot of events to undertake.
Yeah, I know what you mean; the site
does feel different. Not good different, but not bad different either, to me. I mean, I started lurking from the end of 2007, and the site had a totally different atmosphere (as well as, of course, an entirely different line-up of people, pretty much all of them now left). I seem to remember 2009-2010 being maybe a little more abrasive thanks to the grumpy celebrities, and the forums today do suffer a large number of the 'in' topics, most of which are worrying in content, but all in all they're easy to ignore.
As for growing into it and knowing what to say and what not to say, I don't know. It always struck me as being pretty obvious in what would get you moderated and what wouldn't. It all seemed to be common sense, but then I suppose if that is the case it should come as no surprise to see so many banned

Well aren't you just the nicest? :3

e few tears i do shed as i walk down forum road. the history i missed and scandals i was not aware of. maybe ill be in my own scandal one day.
For what it's worth, I hope not. Surely it's far better to become known for being a great poster, with well constructed and eloquent arguments, a positive outlook, the ability to reply to abusive or argumentative posters with grace and tact and a willingness to help any other forumites? It's harder, but it's got to be better than being known for being abusive and then getting banned.
