Poll: linkin parks new album... will it be worth it?

linkin parks is a weird band... first album is awesome, second is ok, third was for lack of a better word, rubbish

is it just me or do you think that linkin park has gone down the tubes? new divide was rubbish

I didn't know one was coming out... Buy hopefully if they do it's better than the U2 wannabe album(Minutes to Midnight).
That said I'm more looking forward to if Breaking Benjamin is ever gonna realease a new album.

We don't know if it's going to be worth it yet. In my opinion, the band has spent their first three albums looking for a sound to call their own. If in their fourth album they somehow mange to find a comfortable style, then yes, I'd buy it.

I loved Hybrid Theory and Meteora, but Minutes to Midnight was a pile of wank and judging by their new songs, the new album isn't gonna be any better

I stopped caring after Meteora. Still like Hybrid Theory but even it got kind of boring. Not interested in any new CDs. They would have to be mind-blowing to even get my attention.

Any links to their new songs? Minutes to Midnight was a definite change in style, but eventually it grew on me (a little). At least they're evolving and trying new stuff rather than re-hashing their old style.

I'll say it will be worth a listen, but likely won't be anything remarkable.

Considering they changed their style mostly because they didn't like their fan base, Linkin Park can suck a big one. They developed a strong fan base and basically gave them the middle finger.

Hybrid Theory, then Meteora. Those albums are two of my favourite ever made. Every song is amazing.

Minutes to Midnight was just rubbish though. It had lost their spirit. Before if you heard a song on the radio, you could TELL it was Linkin Park by the unique style. Minutes to Midnight on the other hand though sounded wannabe and easily mistakable in the oceans of emo filth. It did have a few good songs though. Such as Bleed it Out, Not More Sorrow, and Given Up.

Hopefully this new CD will go back to the original ones and bring me what I've been waiting for for ages now.

I loved the first albums but when they made minutes to midnight they just waved goodbye to their previous fans. It is just awefull and I dont think the new one is going to be any good.
It may be because I was a teenager when I listned to Linkin Park so maybe I just outgrew them.
