Well, it was with a girl I loved, it was special. But the only reason I felt good about it was because my peers were all looking down on everyone who hadn't lost it. It was kind of a mental buff, nothing can harm me now.
Then it became "meh"

I must say I have read 9 out of 10 pages and seeing that there is a fairly good concensus, I feel fair more comfortable about it. Yes, I'm a virgin, only 16 so not a great suprise, but I have never been on a date or even kissed a girl. Mostly because I can't find:
A. Someone I can relate to.
B. Someone who wants me.

OP: Yes, overrated, but according to the majority, good if done the right way.

my first time was great (and being a girl that says a lot) I did bleed.... a lot, but it didn't hurt THAT bad, and it wasn't due to peer pressure.... I just couldn't wait any longer lol

It seemed like a big deal at the time, but, looking back, some of my most memorable and positive sexual experiences were with ladies that came after.

Don't push yourself to lose it too soon, but don't delay too much waiting for the 'perfect moment'.

I mean look at our world. Sex is GLAMORIZED.

People RAPE people because they want sex.
People CHEAT on people because they want fresh sex (or other reasons)
People WATCH people have sex through pornography.
People BRAG about sex, like it's the one thing you need in your life.

Sex is great. It really is. But when the media glamorizes sex and the human body, it just feels like a massive let down for your first time. It's still damn amazing. But personally, I just expected so much more.
