Just because you can afford it doesn't mean it's good value.Grouchy Imp said:CoD DLC, Halo DLC, Fallout DLC, Oblivion DLC, if I want it I'll buy it. I don't see DLC as being overpriced, either. If you can afford the £250 game console, the £50 game, and the £40 per month Broadband package, you can afford £10 for DLC - at least that's how I see it.
No, I've never not bought something because it was "insultingly priced." it's their stuff, they get to sell it for whatever they want. Also, you're not hurting anyone but yourself by not buying it. They know dang well what price to set it at so that they make the most money.GunstarHero said:Black Ops. I love the MP, but I'll be damned if I'm paying 1,200 Microsoft Points for the sake of some maps and no other in-game content.
That's a few indie games, a couple of pieces of good DLC for another game, a few movies.. It could be any number of other things.
800? I'd grudgingly pay, but I'd want the maps to add something, and not be just more sniper-proof clusterfucks.
My question is this; have you ever had this experience, where you've wanted/semi wanted the DLC, but have purposefully 'voted with your wallet', and not bought it because it felt insultingly priced?
For the record, I've spent about 30,000 Microsoft points in my time. I'm no stranger to buying things I want, but I know when I feel something is put at too high a premium.
I hope you like waiting, heh.necromanzer52 said:I pretty much refuse to buy map packs until they're made free.
