As for the purpose of the thread, a more comprehensive statistic can more easily be made [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/profiles/search] by searching the user base solely on gender. There is currently 403 pages worth of specified males, and 66 pages worth of specified females.

Doesn't catch those users who haven't specified a gender in their profile though.

EDIT: I'm also ill with a cold. I'm drinking hot water with honey and lemon juice in it. Won't get you drunk but it does the trick.

Gender is a pretty big issue. Even though people say it's patronising to be all "Woah!" when you find a girl who plays games, it's similar to if I turned around and said I'm a man who does yoga...except I'd have to reassure everyone I'm not gay, rather than that I truly exist.
