I have to say, I second this notion.

I like that you said "Haven't managed to" rather than "Can't".

As many other posters have said, you could get drunk. You just haven't tried I would guess, or haven't tried hard enough.

If it's important to you that you get drunk, just don't eat all day then drink a carton of your preferred drink, or two cases if you drink wine.

You will be drunk.

Spoiler: The Liqour-ish (Phonetically: Licorice)

Liquorish:
Pour:
30 mL (One shot) Ouzo
30 mL (One shot) Galleano Black Sambuca
30 mL (One shot) Cherry Absolut (Cherry Vodka) into a cocktail shaker
a scoop of ice
and a teaspoon of Staranise
Shake well and strain into a tall glass of ice and topped up with Cola (Usually of a Coca variety)
Garnish with two cherries attached by stalks with one either side of the glass rim.

I second that motion. Also, try Limoncello, it tastes sweet enough for you to not realise that your drinking alcohol, but strong enough to get you drunk.

I'd rather be able to keep my sense of taste. Vodka taste vulgar to me, and I'm not sure whether or not it is meant to taste like that...
Although, it's not as bad as gin. That stuff tastes like perfume. Yuck. Horrible stuff >.>
I suppose WKD blue isn't bad... but just plain vodka... I may as well make a beverage out of torpedo fuel [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Torpedo_juice] >.>
