I find them annoying because the only ones there are is Naruto.
Hellsing, Bleach, Death Note, Berserker, need I go on?

Saying Naruto is the only manga is like saying South Park is the only animated adult comedy show.

On topic, eh. I read Hellsing, went through a Fanboy phase, still a fan, but eh. I usually just watch the anime, I find buying the manga stupid when I could watch the anime for free online.

Oh wait... you can read manga on the computer too...

I quite like them and I loved Shonen Jump back in elementary school (for the record, when I first read Naruto I thought it was just ok. Shaman King and Yu Yu Hakusho were better). I'll admit they have interesting quirks, however, and whether you like a lot of them or not depends on how you take these quirks.

Also, OP, I dislike it when people call things childish, it's just elitist and smug.

OT, I just started getting into Manga recently. I really only like the more mature ones though. Not pornographic, just ones that show people dying in crazy ways and have deep emotional story lines like Hellsing, Death Note, Gantz, Black Lagoon, and Ghost in the Shell.
thank you.
manga may be a comic but its the same with all comic's.
there some for kids and there some for teens to adults.
Hellsing is a great one.
if you like it you might like Samurai Deeper Kyo.
Never heard of Samurai Deeper Kyo. Have you heard of the series Clover? I was interested in that but I cant find any reviews of it.

Hey, I buy Manga! I just prefer reading something in my hand and physically turning the page. It kinda takes away part of the experience when I read it online, but thats just my preference. But, I do watch anime on the internet.

I prefer anime over manga. I never even liked comics all that much,
Maybe I should try "Y:the last man", I heard it was good.

you don't get your own imagination etc etc.
What? The only media that lets you do that anymore is actual books. Manga is just comics drawn a different way.

Oh, yes, I much prefer turning the page too. But if I can get it for free, what's a little preference to paying 20 bucks?

Not really all that into it, never read a Manga book except for a how to draw Manga or Marvel Mangaverse and they were okay, I have however watched a lot of Manga before. My friend is a Manga fan and he tried to get me into it, so far not worked the movies don't make sense, my uncle who watches them explains that the English dubs don't often make sense because they have to cut a lot out to make it look like the lip synch are in order, some times the cut a lot of vital info in doing this. This is either true or the Japanese are weird story tellers because they seem to just jump to some random part in the story that has never been explained before but were supposed to have a clue what it's all about. I have however enjoyed a good few Manga films, Ghost in the Shell being one of them, the street fighter Mangas are pretty cool.

Anyway, they start reading Manga and i'm sitting on a big group table during break reading a proper book (IMO). I don't understand the appeal, i kinda think Manga and comic's are very childish and don't help reading very well because you don't get your own imagination etc etc.
Seems to me someone needs to drag their stuffy head out of their own pseudo-intellectual ass...

Manga is impossible to find here, and it's much easier to find a backlog of anime to watch than it is to find a backlog of manga to read.

I hate reading comics and books on a computer screen. They're just not formated for landscape. Maybe if I could rotate my screen...

You pay 20 bucks for manga? Shit, I get mine from a local used/new comic store for about 5 dollars in near mint condition.

Oh no. No, no, no. It's just that some is expensive. I get mine used from Amazon, bu all I have is all 9 Hellsings.

But I'll stick to Anime, more than Manga, probably.

The only manga I like is Blade: The Immortal. Which is weird, since it is all... dramarama. He is immortal, someone slices of his arm and a leg, he falls, they are like "HAHAHA, look at me dance!". Then Mr. Immortal gets up in a very dramatic way and commence his slicing and dicing. This kind of drama is what I hate about manga and anime (and FF and MGS), yet for some reason I love this particular manga. Weird that.
