You sound like an unpleasant person to work with. But my answer is basically the same. I've never smoked pot. I don't like the idea of not being entirely in control of my own actions/thoughts.
That is, perhaps, a good thing, as I work alone.

I do well in a leadership position, though.
But I still prefer to work alone.
Always.
Yeah, it's a lot easier to sneak up and stab people when you're working alone.
Yeah, I know what you mean.

You don't know just how true that is.
Oh really? I have a lot of experience with this sort of thing.
No, probably not.

Not a weed man, m'self. But I can see the attraction. I'm more of a bourbon/scotch/whiskey guy who follows his drinks with coffee and Camel cigarettes. And if I'm feeling particularly decadent, hookah.

In my opinion, people just use weed to make them feel better about themselves. This is a sign of weakness. What kind of person needs to feel good all the time? A needy, self-serving person, that's what. My best friend in the world is a huge pothead, and its starting to show. Shes failing classes, having random sex with her pothead friends (that she doesnt tell her bf about), and acting like an all-around *****. I hate what this is doing to her. Yes I blame weed, because no matter what I tried to do to make her feel better about whatever it was, she would tell me the next day that she had smoked about half a bag of weed that night. She said it made her feel great all the time. But I ask you, is feeling good all the time really such a good thing? If you always feel good, you cant have empathy for people. Why? Beacause youre in your own little world, thinking that everything is perfect and nothing can go wrong. Also, just to be fair, smoking and drinking should be illegal too. It all fucks you up, some moreso than others. Please, challenge this post.
You can't blame weed just because your friend fails at life. She apparantly need something that has that effect, so if there was no weed she'd find something else, like hard drugs or huffing paint or sniffing lighter gas. The thing that people abuse instead of the people is just rediculous.

Really? I've heard the argument that if its natural, then its ok. The go smoke some poison ivy or methane and see what happens. The bad thing is that this stuff is readily available when its obviously illegal. Its illegal for a reason, more than likely because someone smart tried it and thought, "Wow, this shit fucks you up. Maybe this stuff shouldnt be used." I can blame weed, but youre right shes to blame too. While Im not 100% sure, but I believe that weed does in fact kil brain cells. Even if you try it because youre curious, It can still hurt you the first time. Dead brain cells can attribute to addiction, depression, and mood swings. Got anything else?

I tried it once when I was 13. It wasn't the biggest rush I have ever had and I haven't tried it since and I don't plan on trying it again. Especially seeing as I'm training to be a cop.

Well, yeah, myself and plenty of my friends, including a very large amount of people around the world use pontentially addictive substances when we party, i'm not talking hardcore stuff here, just alcohol, cigarretes and weed, and most of us do not touch the stuff when we are not attending a party, even though we might feel the urge once in a while. Some people just can't resist the urge, but they'd find something else instead, like cutting, or eating a lot. Some people appear to need addictions. Therefore I claim that the substances are not to blame at all. so what if it's illegal, should we illegalize everything people get addicted to? Yes it is harmful, but if we were to illegalize everything that is unhealthy and potentially addictive, then coffee, cigarrettes and candy are among the many, many things that we would illegalize. It doesn't make sense blaming the substances.

The gate drug theory does not work because:
1. Most hard users of drugs do not smoke marijuana first, they use alcohol or nicotine
2. Nearly 100 million Americans admit to having used marijuana at least once in their lives, while some 25 million admit to having done so in the past year. With a death rate of 35 out of 100 million, it doesn't seem very dangerous. (source: http://www.briancbennett.com/charts/death/cannabis.htm, the 35 include people that had marijuana in their systems when they died)
3. I have a few friends who are hardcore stoners, everyday, yet with the exception of experimenting with psychedelics they dont do any addicting drugs, or smoke cigarettes or drink.

Plus other facts:
1. 1500 pounds in 15 minutes, how much you marijuana you need in your system to overdose
2. In the drug war, the drug lords are winning, does that mean users are beating non-users? the people on drugs are winning wtf!!?!?!?
3. If legalized our government (united states) would have 700,000 former criminals, most of which are non-violent users
4.amount of people who have died from a cancer or other health problem from marijuana: 0
