Poll: Mayes Muses- Good or Bad?

I don't like the genre of music she plays, but I like hearing what she has to say. From behind-the-scenes, I see that she is a creative person, one I can relate to, and for that I am thankful for her. I even enjoy her songs, although I didn't at first. There's a real message in them, unlike some shows here. I watch ZP for the laughs, I watch RMM for the opinions and feelings put across by an artist who I respect. I don't understand why everything on this site has to be light-hearted and comedic.

And if you think that something should be canceled, simply because you don't see the appeal of it, I think that you must be quite stuck-up. The internet does not revolve around what you think is cool, what you think is garbage, and what you see in something. I'm sorry that you don't enjoy her music, and I have a simple solution for you: don't listen to it. Other people do enjoy it, just like other people who aren't me admire Lady Gaga and think Beck is the most stupid artist ever.

As you can probably see, I also don't want Mayes to be canceled. She'll leave when the time comes for her to move on. Unless someone starts strapping you down and forcing you to watch her songs, I don't see a reason to complain. (If they do, you might want to complain to them. Or the police. Ya know...)

I like her, but I think video games are poor fit and a waist of her talent. I'd describe her as deep, quirky and sweet. Not really for writing about video games. Maybe if she used more humor, but I see her as a more serious artist. I say keep her. But Rebecca, if you find another way to get your music out there. Take it.

I quite enjoy her work. I do agree that some of it is sadly samey which does sort of go against the obvious talent she does have, but I haven't seen one video of hers that I considered a waste of time to watch. Also, I'd much rather have her videos here than some of the other.. ahem "content" that I've seen here.

i tried i really did i couldnt get halfway through any of her songs the only one i heard all the way through was the zero punctuation and i really didnt like it but if shes still here then someone likes her i usually ignore them

I find it fairly entertaining and its one of the video series I actually follow on here. She has a good voice and her songs are better than most of the generic copycat sounds I hear on the radio IMO.

Though it does come off as a tad obnoxious that you think she should be canceled just because you dislike the series. You don't like it, don't watch it. It's just that simple.

I haven't seen all her songs but I've liked a few. While not my favorite column/video series(I like ZP and Unskippable a lot more), She's good enough to amuse me and I think she should stay.

I watched 1 random video out of the first 4, couldn't finish it.
Watched the Resident Evil one, couldn't finsih it.

Then I stopped caring.

Overall I find her videos to be boring, but it seems some people enjoy them somehow.
As long as there's an audiance I guess.

But it sits in my Box of Suck that Lame Dogs is in, far far away from my Box of Awesome that Doraleous and his associates reside in.

I like most shows on here. (Including UR and DA) But I really don't like her style of music nor do I agree with a lot of her opinions expressed within her song.

That's another problem with her music. It feels like it's one song being constantly re written and that shouldn't deserve a spot here.

Hate me if you will but that's just my opinion.

The "Yahtzee" song is definitely not her best, especially where she says he's as funny as a bloodhound which is clearly just there because she couldn't figure out a better rhyme. Some of her songs are quite insightful and actually relate well to certain games.

Let the hits decide who's popular and who's not.
