Destroying the ship is stupid, and all who did should feel ashamed that they are going to let all sentient life die.

Well we all made the decision knowing that it didn't really matter which option we picked. Whether we kept it or destroyed it, Shepherd is still going to beat the Reapers.

I mean look at the giant decision in ME1. The different results of the paragon and renegade options in ME2 is a few lines of dialog and the fact that one or two unimportant NPCs don't like you.

All sentient life is going to survive either way so we might as well take the opportunity to flip TIM the bird.

Of course. I agree with you. As far as the GAME goes no, it makes absolutely no difference what we choose. Shepard will always win/life will survive. (if not... then I applaud BioWare for a randomly silly but bold move)

What I should have said is... well, if this were real, and not a game. In reality, Shepard would pose no threat to them.. (again, as far as our knowledge permits us to know so far)

Ah well, I was only thinking of Humanity when I dropped off the keys, even if the Illusive Man does turn nasty, I think my Shepard can handle him, I mean, coming back to life is one thing and saving the galaxy is another, but if my Shepard can headbutt a Krogan, he can handle anything.

I don't understand why poeple would even consider destroying the ship.

It possesses unlimited technological knowledge that could/will help defeat the Reapers. The Reapers are the ONLY threat in the universe that could kill everything. The Illusive Man? He is just a man/machine. He would cause nothing more than a civil war.. that is NOTHING compared to what the Reapers will do. The Ship is, to me, the only proper means (as far as ME1 & ME2 goes) for real success against the Reapers.

The Illusive man is nothing, NOTHING. He is the boss of an expansion AT MOST. He is not the real villain, he is not worth worrying about. I trust him completely.

Well the ship is dangerous as it mind-f***s people, it's known that Sovereign could do that to people too, so the idea of sitting aboard it and trying to 'figure it out' seems like the perfect way to go insane and become a Reaper slave.

You are talking in absolutes about something that is entirely unknowable.

It's true of course. And you pose the only logical reason as to why the ship should be destroyed. I guess I have no proper counter-argument than to say the positives outway the negatives. None of us really can know the full extent of this argument, as we both only know fragments of survived data about the Reapers.

I think the possible threat of indoctrination compared to the possibility of knowing the true extent of Reaper technology/understanding/weaknesses etc is far more important. If anything, expose only a small fragment of people to the ship. If anything, those few thousand will be brainwashed, and the killed.. those few thousand mean nothing compared to all life. If this risk of a few lives can possibly pose the only chance for sentient life in the galaxy, of course it's worth it.

I kept the base. I didn't give it to TIM, I kept it. Seeing as I'm the only one with an IFF, TIM can't come after me.
How I did this: It's a secret ending that you can unlock by pausing the game, looking online for possible mods, failing to find any, quitting the game before making the decision, make believe, profit.

Yes, I suppose if they have cerebral palsy and can't operate their mouse it isn't their fault. However, I don't find it exceedingly difficult to accidentally click on a thread, but maybe thats just me.

This was a stupid and forced decision, imo. It's senseless to destroy the facility, but there was no way in hell that I would give the Illusive Man the Collector technology. Why couldn't I pretend to destroy it, and call in the Alliance/Citadel? :S
