Jeez, it's a toss up between Fallout New Vegas, Call of Duty Black Ops and Mafia 2. I'm most pyshced about Mafia 2, since both Fallout and Call of Duty look to be more of the same.

I meant of the same relating to the prior installments of the series. New Vegas looks to be alot like Fallout 3, and Black Ops looks to be like every COD game since 4.

Reach and Dead Space 2.

Both sequels to undeniably great games, and I'm massively hyped about both: Dead Space for it's campaign (although it will have multiplayer) and Reach for the long run in the campaign.

i;m super excited about Black Ops. This is because I didnt even start playing Call of Duty until World at War came out, and after I had my fill of that game(over a year later), I totally predicted that if Treyarch put out a new retro-themed Call of Duty, it would have to be based on the Vietnam war. And it is!! sort of...

Honestly, I couldn't care less about the games listed in the poll. I know I'm in the minority, but not a single one of them. The games I'm looking forward to are:

Force Unleashed II
Lego Star Wars III: Clone Wars
Infamous II

Gran Turismo 5 and what ^ he said. Halo Reach beta was 'meh' to me. Probably because I'm used to playing games with 20 or more people in Killzone 2 and Resistance 2. 12 people is to little for me. Fable 3 is a definitew borrow from fan boy friends becasue 2[footnote] Finished the game in 3 and a half hours and found that I could cast area spells that could obliterate all enemies. Plus I don't remember evr facing a boss in that game. Fable 1 was much better IMO[/footnote]was the worst next gen game i've played. Call of Duty is looking like just another Call of Duty and Brotherhood is a creative but dumb concept.

3 hours? Wow, took me well over 30 hours. Then again I explored everything I could...

OT: Marvel vs. Capcom 3.

I'm very happy to see COD failing on this poll, thank you fellow Escapists, you wonderful, wonderful people! I had to say Brotherhood because despite my anger at the ending of ACII, I think they can still turn the story around, not to mention the very interesting looking multiplayer. And of course ACII was tied with Arkham Asylum as my favourite of '09, so much fun.

Was tempted to click 'other' and say Bloodstone, very tempted indeed.

This is a terrible year for games. Just last week i gave up on Reach after near 10 years of Halo love. That 1 minute of campaign footage rubbed me up the wrong way.

I'm most interested in downloadables now. I find AAA's to be all the same

Isn't that VERY silly? You should at least RENT the game before you let one minute change 10 years of love.

Fable III.

Fable: Meh, I didn't really care for it. It was pretty short and there wasn't that much in it. Bogged down with features, not enough everything else.

Fable II: Great! I have fond memories of this game 15 minutes after I finished the game! The family ending knocked it down 15 points on the awesome scale, though.

My predictions for Fable III: Somewhere between Fable and Fable II. It looks good, but I'm not sure if it's great.

If I am lucky, I'll get Rock Band 3, Halo: Reach, maybe Black Ops, and maybe AC:B. Most of the other games are sequels to games I haven't played yet, so I'd have to buy those before I buy the sequels.

I feel like you've got that completely backwards. The first is bogged down with features and too short while the second is the awesome one which elicits fond memories? The second added a whole bunch of half-assed features while improving upon the first in no way (backtracking in many ways, in fact) and has a main story that can be finished in between 3 and four hours.

I've been waiting for Fable 3 the most, but I will be getting Medal of Honor and probably reach
