For full release price... Nah... It's a good game, definitely original, but very short (6h?) and suffers from some bad decisions, like areas where you're forced to fight instead of running, which goes against the point of the game. For 50 bucks, you'll likely feel like you got the short end of the deal a bit. For $10? Not even a question.
More like, unless your computer wasn't built in 1995. I played it with an old 8500 GT and it played well, on max quality settings... If you're having issues playing it on medium at least, go turn in your "computer" for a toaster.Flamingpenguin said:In short: I would get it. But I would definitely pick up the console version unless you have a REALLY nice pc.
Yes. You may get the feeling that the game really, really doesn't want you to use a firearm. While it is entirely possible to complete the game without ever resorting to a gun, it could only be done with frustrating trial and error play. The problem is the game will regularly give you a scenario where you simply cannot outrun your problems and you are forced to stand and fight, and even a handgun offers a better option than using your fists the entire time.Omnific One said:Just a follow-up question: Are there any particularly frustrating parts that some might be unable to get past (particularly myself)? I really don't want to be stuck with a game that I can't finish. These ominous fights with agile enemies sound like they could be an impediment. Note: I am not a big platformer/hand to hand combat person, my abilities are more in the FPS/RPG world.
The chase scenes with the agile enemies aren't particularly hard, but they might present some challenge to you, which isn't necessarily a bad thing because it will cause you to try and think of a quick escape route which is sorta the point of the game because it's a free running/parkour game. There are some parts later on in the game which annoyed quite a bit because I was trying to avoid guns but I eventually decided to disarm the nearest guy with an assault rifle and beat that area soon after. That shouldn't be too hard for you considering you are an FPS person like you said.Omnific One said:Just a follow-up question: Are there any particularly frustrating parts that some might be unable to get past (particularly myself)?
