Thats just some more recent titles, or the ones I still play. I can't remember every game I've played for PC after all this time.
I can't believe you didn't find "Non-Shit" player made content for those games.
I don't want player content, I want developer content. Thats what I paid for, and want to see, not "surfing" maps and flaming penis and the umpteeth ballizionth remake of "X" map from Mario or Halo.
Being like Yahtzee doesn't make you cool. Why not like Player Content? Are all those awesome Half-Life mods just player content? Is Garry's Mod just player content? How about oblivion mods? How about all those cool custom maps for TF2? How about all those cool maps for CS?
Interesting fact: I haven't noticed a single remake of a Halo map, and only one mario. The Mario Kart thing.

I like how you say you don't like player made content and a chunk of those games live on through player made content and some of them even started as mods. Delicious irony.

I'll hold off until it's cheaper, which I do with pretty much every video game that doesn't have "Half-Life" in the title.

I know some of them started out as mods. And I didn't care about them back then either. As a matter of fact, its pretty safe to say I hate all mods. The only ones I don't hate are ones attempting to be useful, but even then I just tolerate them.

And a good chunk live on through player made content? The only games that applies to are WiC, TF2 and CS:S. The others don't allow mods in the general populace, and single player games don't "die", because they were never alive to start with.

Being like Yahtzee doesn't make you cool. I hated it before I new who Yahtzee was. Why not like Player Content? Because I don't like players. Are all those awesome Half-Life mods just player content? Yes. And "awesome is debatable. Is Garry's Mod just player content? It defies classification, therefore increasing my hate for it. Also, since its used mainly for childish bullshit, I really don't pay attention to it. How about oblivion mods? One of the few places I tolerate mods, because they at least the time o make the game easier for people with slightly less-than optimal systems to run. But other than that, most of the content is either sex mods or an endless deluge of "Crap that you'd never think to use", with the occasional interesting something or other that winds up being a pain to install. How about all those cool custom maps for TF2? The coolest maps for TF2 are the stock ones. How about all those cool maps for CS? See previous.
Interesting fact: I haven't noticed a single remake of a Halo map, and only one mario. The Mario Kart thing. Applied mainly to Battlefield.

Hahhaha how wrong you are. Seriously you don't know what you talking about. I just feel sorry for you, cause theres games in that list in which theres plenty of mods that are superior to the game itself or fix the stupid game.(Oblivion or Battlefield 2.) Most of Team Fortress 2 maps are custom made maps, most(if not all) CS:S maps are still the same maps from the original mod.(The same with TF2) Really don't talk down player made content when you playing games that are filled with it.

Preordered and getting it most likely on the night of release with friends that basically praise the game so much it's like they think it's God. Although it wouldn't be hard for me to wait until the afternoon it comes out, less lines and more time to sleep > more lines and less sleep

I'll be waiting in line by 11 PM at the latest on Monday night. Luckily the Wal-Mart I go to for all my midnight releases is almost deserted most of the time.

Wait, so you're blaming me for pirating it. Even tho I live in Serbia, One Euro is 93 Dinars, and I have so much money that I could probably buy two games every year. Plus they raised the price and removed the servers and by doing so made PC gamers furious. I actually made plans to save up money and buy the game but then BOOM!"No more servers for you blokes and we'll raise the price too! :D" said Activision/Infinity Ward/Whoever.

Also most player content is actually sweet, and if you know where to look you'll find some pretty awesome stuff.
Question: Do you actually play anything on the PC?

EDIT: Oh yeah, and even the "Shit flavours" are interesting.
EDIT #2: (Net broke) They risked piracy by doing what I already mentioned.
So? I don't even have $50 right now, and instead of being a lazy dick who can't earn his money, I'll choose to buy only Assassin's Creed when it comes out and HOLD OFF on MW2 until A. it gets good reviews B. the price drops, and C. I earn enough to buy it.

You keep bitching about how you're so sad that MW2 won't have Dedicated servers, but all you're really doing is trying to justify pirating the game. Chances are you'd pirate it even if they DID have the Dedicated servers. And really now? So they don't have them, they obviously still have a product you want if you're going to take the time to get it, so you should fucking PAY FOR IT.

I have a gaming PC by the way, and I can say that it's because of prats who pirate (such as yourself) that good games (AC2 for example) are being delayed on the PC, and that developers are just dropping PC titles all together for their more lucrative console counterparts. We won't even fucking HAVE mods for these games anymore if people keep pirating because they won't EXIST ON PCS ANYMORE.

Explain to me how the mod of game can be superior to the game itself? (Note: If it changes the basic gameplay, then it doesn't count, as you might as well have just gotten a game built from the ground up for that style of play.) And then also explain to me why you bought a game not knowing if you'd like the core gameplay.

Oblivion was the one game I made exception for because of the streamlining mods, but even then just barely.

And yet the stock and DLC maps are still superior to the player-made ones. As for CS:S - I knew that - but the ones Valve made and packaged with the game are still superior to the ones players have made.

As for TF2 - have you even watched and listened to the dev diaries and commentary? TF2 is not a "mod" - it is a standalone game. And the stock and DLC maps for it are still better than the player ones.

I get my first period class off (spare) so I'll wake up early and go to my mall's Wal-mart and buy it before everyone heads down to there at lunch, then I'll drive my friends at lunch to play for an hour or so.

@ the wait for the review : It is inevitable that it will get 9+ out of ten because we all know secretly Activision controls all the gamer sites.

No TF2 is a game born of a mod for Quake called Team Fortress, then the folk who created that mod made a TF mod for Half Life and Valve recruited them. The devs of TFC are still the devs of Team Fortress 2( (John Cook Robin Walker) and most of the gameplay remains the same, some of the stock maps are the maps from TFC and most of the added maps and types(King of the Hill, capture the flag, ect) that came in DLC were made by the communtiy.

The same crap applies for CS:S, the devs of CS mod are still in charge on CS:S.(or at least one of them is, I think one is working on Steam.) And the maps are still the same but with shinier graphics.

And the same crap for Day of Defeat.(Tho DoD:S kinda sucks)

3 out of 4 Valve multiplayer games(CS, TF, DoD,L4d) were and still are runned by former modders.

And I give another example. Natural Selection was one the best mods for Half Life 1. The mods of NS are now making a sequel and now have a company of their own.

Where did I wrote that I buy games that I don't like the core gameplay? I didn't. I buy because I like those games and sometimes most of them have a good modding community.(Bethesda, CA, Valve, Firaxis, Paradox, Blizzard to cite a few.)

Also Medieval 2, Stainless Steel mod is superior to unmodded Medieval 2.

I'm going to wait until it gets cheaper. It's already got a higher price tag than most games, and I have plenty of other games I want in the upcoming months, so the choice is easy. I can't get all at once anyway...
Higher price tag? It's just as expensive as all the other big hitters this year. But I agree with all the other awesome games that are out. I still have to get my hands on Tekken 6, Borderlands, L4D2, AC2. zomg so many :(
