This one is actually fairly tough, there are a lot of cool monsters I wouldn't mind being (if only temporarily). I think off the top of my head a demon that corrupts people and makes them do bad bad things.

The only problems with this are the fact that even before morgoth lost his power to create stuff and change shape and had to have creatures like ungoliant help him he was beaten by other valar (beaten in hand to hand combat by Tulkas). Plus in the end (after having his but kicked and one of the silmarils stolen by mere mortals) he was defeated and locked away (for the second time) only this time he was locked in the void until the end of time.
