Poll: Most Useless Final Fantasy character

What kind of poll is this? You only have 4 choices and no "Other." You only list characters from 3D FF games.

She's worthless in battle because every character is better than her. Her personality is annoying. It's pretty bad when the most useful thing a character has done was die.

If you had asked me a month ago, I would have said Amarant. But I've made him useful and he's not even a part of this poll, so Penelo for the virtue that she's from 12 and that game was crap.

Quina can still be useful if you get blue magic properly, as someone said in the thread earlier
Rikku definitely has her uses (OHKO robots, stealing items...)
Penelope is a good spellcaster afaik, wouldn't Fran be a better option? Her stats are all subpar (she can't really specialize in anything)

So yeah... my vote went to Cait Sith. Don't like the character design or the character altogether, limit breaks are just gambling, and I never really bothered using him/her/it.

I loved using Rikku. Infact she was usally in my top line up or always on 1st sub. Mechs and elements had nothing on her. Useful item theif too, made some awesome shit because of her.

Also, not on the list, but Kimari from FFX. He looked big and hard, he was shite.

I'm going to agree with you on that, Blue Mages are either really powerful... or not at all, sadly Kimari is the former.

I hate hope, I hate the character so much I refuse to use him when given the option, so i'm going to say him, even though technically he's not useless I guess.

I agree in full, at least for the first half of the game. once he realizes what an emo git he is being and rectifies that, he is alright, playable even

He is annoying as all hell but he is also your most powerful magic user and can lay waste to groups of enemies like nobody else.

Yes, and when you pull off Mighty Guard 6 it makes most boss fights easier, and if you get lucky you can get a trio of 9,999 on Yunalesca after stealing from her. >_>.

Rikku might have been kinda annoying but wasn't she capable of stealing and had some sort of bonus against machines?

Khimarhi or however you spell it, the cat-unicorn guy who didn't talk much, I only used him during that forced fight against the other two Ronso.

She could steal from MOST machines and auto-kill them.

Not sure how related this is, but I think Final Fantasy XII would have been better if Reks was the main character instead of Vaan. Having said that, Penelo wasn't useless unless you're an idiot and don't understand how character customization works, I'm probably going to vote Vanille, because she pisses me off so much that she's effectively made useless by the fact that I hate her too much to ever use her in battle (unless I'm forced to against my will by that plot thing.)

By the time you can get it, all of your other characters are more dependable so it doesn't really matter. Everyone else has multi-target attacks, he's a single hitter for the most part.

They were all useless, especially Rikku who only had speed. It took a LOOOOOOONG time to get her some magic or something so she was semi-useful. By then, you had Lulu with Magic, Tidus overall, and even Kimahri, in a few instances, who outclassed her.

Were you using her part of the Sphere Grid throughout the game, and if not, when did you go into a magic focused part of it? I'm curious due to not remembering her ever getting magic when I played the game (I only used her for stealing and for taking out machines, so her inability to do other things didn't matter).

I'd forgotten about how pointless Kimahri was combatwise due to him not having his own path (I only played the game using the basic sphere grid, which is probably why I had that problem; I think I ended up using a Warp Sphere to put him onto Auron's path relatively early in the game so he was able to fight decently).

Instead of penelope i would have put in vaan. For a main character he really didn't seem like a main character. It was as if he was just there for the ride.

However the one i voted for was Cait Sith. Mainly because his godddamn limit break always sucked for me.
