no its not. the kinds of people who commit school shooting are those who are delusional and have mental illness of some sort.
and according to this poll that would make 21% of the population commit high school shootings.

21% of the people that frequent the escapist and who have looked at your poll, not 21% of the population. You have to look at your target audience first of all. Second, this is the internet and people say stupid shit on the internet because of the anonynimity it provides and because they think they're being funny. I voted other because I think this poll is stupid.

i hardly said it was a scientifically accurate representation and study of psychological motives,now, did? and why bother to post on a thread that you find stupid. i was just looking for a decent debate on people's views on murder, and what drives/stops people doing it.

Personally, the fact I don't have an actual gun or a silencer stops me. I have no quarrels with putting a piece of lead in the back of someones skull quietly.

It's my own morals which prevent me... But that's probably a bad choice of words here, cause I don't think "Golly gee willikers, how I wish I could kill that guy... But nah, that would be WRONG!" - more that I just see murder as immoral, and immorality is never a solution. However you look at someone's life, you haven't given it to them and you have no right to take it away - is more or less the way I see it.

That being said, I know that when one day I'm a father of the family and someone hurts my children, I wouldn't be above killing him on the spot. Not sure if that constitutes a murder, though.
