I'll respond to all the people who quoted me calling me the huge troll in one post, cause quoting would just get redundant:
In terms of calling PC gamers spoiled elitist brats: obviously this way hyperbole, and I mentioned this only the in the context of people who are petitioning the game, all of whom I've found to be snobby and obnoxious. The fact remains that PC gamers have received bonuses to their ports for a good while now, and recognizing these bonuses as the standard as opposed to preferential treatment is a mistake in my opinion. I know it's "standard for PC", but it's still privileges not afforded to console gamers, and I could understand complaining if they had received a port less worthy than a console version, but to me it just seems like IW ported a game to the PC and everyone got all hissy. It's a pretty fantastic game, so boycotting it for the sake of boycotting it for not getting, yes, bonus privileges, smacks me as pretty elitist.
As for the hardware debate: maybe PC's have caught up, but I'm almost sure PS3 hardware is technically superior. 7 Cores? I'm pretty sure that's still not been replicated in any available for purchase CPU, and maybe this technology hasn't been pushed to its peak yet, but when it does, I think the graphics will be superior. Regardless, it's hard to argue companies aren't aiming more and more titles at their bigger install base (the consoles) because PC ports can a) be a headache with all the piracy and b) aren't as profitable. Sorry that you took like 1 perhaps misinformed (though I'm not convinced) statement about graphics and extrapolated that I'm some kind of console-warring neanderthal, but that's not the case.
Oh, and saying the IW is "forgetting their roots" is pretty silly. The service they provide for the PC is plenty sufficient, even if not overly grateful, and nostalgia is no justification for having to release extra content/privileges with the PC version.
What I'm saying, basically, is PC gamers should be grateful when receiving modding privileges/dedicated servers, and content enough with a solid game when they don't.
