You were right to say it. I doubt he was actually in the army if he was that much of a fanboy about it.

So I ask of you after this long post, was I right to say this?
Honestly? You should have just dropped it s soon as he got irrationally angry.
Just drop it!

It's some guy over LIVE who you'll never meet, you gain nothing from the argument (Even if you 'win'), and you end up looking like just as big a douche as him (Even with eloquent responses). Some people are just looking for a fight, verbal or otherwise, and it's always just a better idea to ignore them and drop the subject. Especially over something so trivial as a video game.
Baby Tea has a point. A buddy of mine got into an argument on PSN over CoD4. Not ten minutes later he felt Sony's Banhammer.... I never bantered anybody again.

When are people gonna learn that words achieve nothing in games. Teabaggin' heals all wounds and ends all arguments online.

Why use your words to shut someone up, when you can use your balls.

The question is, what did being in the army have to do with game storylines?

Never belive anyone on the internet, except me.

I am the candy store man and I have arrived to save your souls.......... from unsweetness.

Halo fanboys are touchy about story... with good reason.

Now, I'm sure general wisdom holds that being in the army makes you disciplined, yada, yada, yada.

They forget to mention that you have to be stupid enough to want to go stand in front of bullets, aggressive and at the very least, willing to go along with the crowd, though the general rule seems to be fratboy mentality.

Military types generally have objectionable personalities, it's what makes them good at shooting and dying.
Or they feel like they have something to fight for? Many join because they feel obligated to fight for the homeland. My family is a prime example.

If I met a person in real life who acted like that, I'd sigh, pull out a switch blade, slash the dude's throat, and walk away.
HAHAHAHAHAHA Yeah right, another Internet Tough Guy here. I highly doubt you've never met people like that, so how many have you killed? Just a little bit of anonymity and everyone thinks they are just a regular Rambo waiting to happen...

Why would you want to fight?
Go ahead and think you're obligated, I'll just not see why.

He's a douche, and you're an idiot for arguing with a fan-boy and expecting anything but stupidity back. So...

Yeah, can't really find myself caring.

Yes, you had the right to say that. Besides, being in the Army doesn't mean you're mature. When my brother was in the Army, most of the people he came across were childish and far from bright. Sure, there were some cool people in there as well, but they were by far a minority.

Maybe not in the case of the Iraq war, I'm not gonna open that can of worms, but just maybe that individual thinks the country's worth defending and feels it's his/her duty to help? Maybe that person feels a need to help liberate allies under attack? No, it is really stupid to just assume shooting things and the GI Bill are the only reason for fighting.

My own opinion on the topic now: military or not, you just ran into a very common species on the Online savannah, the yellow douche bag. This one just happened to have camo on its patchy oily coat.

Yes, and you should've said worse.
Second. MaxTheReaper, you should pretty much have a Second next to your name because everyone seconds you!

Unfortunately we (I'm assuming we're talking American military here) have a lot of idiots in our military. Even in the Navy, there were retards running around all over the place. The men and women in all branches of our military are supposed to show patience, respect, and act with dignity and discipline.

It's always a shame when some moron starts mucking that respectability up.

And yes, I believe you were in the right. Tell the fucker to sod off, then mute him.
I would have said what I say to all the retards that flaunt enlistment like it makes them God.

"No wonder our country has a bad image."
