...Escapist people, you disappoint me. In one thread you're busy ragging on a (admittedly stupid) christian woman who is prejudiced against same-sex marriage, speaking about "tolerance" and "getting your head out of your ass". And yet this comeson the same page. That's low. What happened to "tolerance", giving people a chance, not making prejudices etc.? That is pretty hypocritical. I'm not angry or trying to whine, I'm just very disappointed.

yeah, so he can play the guitar, what's your point, I know at least a dozen death metal guitarists that could eat him alive. From bands I quite certain you haven't even heard of.

Have to say, never really cared for them. I guess tolerable is how I'd describe them. It all seems verry "just so" and lacking alot of depth and complexity. I'd hold up Assemblage 23 as a good example for something with a little more depth to it, but even when I just want nice uncomplicated stuff, I've never been drawn to them.

Where is the option 'I like some of thier songs but am not a big fan'?

I didn't like anything off the first album, but I think Black Parade and that Sharpest Lives one are very well written, well produced songs.

Oh and This is How I Dissapear is great too. Very rockin.

They actually remind me of Queen in a few bits, which is a good thing.

I dont pay attention to music in general

I likes the drummer, mostly because he has the balls to play while being burned.

my friend was a fan but shes not anymore, apparently they are to lovey and sopy after one of them got a girlfriend or something i dunno,
The one in watchmen? I just spent a long time trying to find a video for that song but godddamn youtube keeps changing what music is in it.
here, it's myspace, but it's the actual video.

And I enjoy MCR, my favorite song would have to be Famous Last Words.

The fuck are you on about? Some people here say they like em, others say they hate them, what prejudice? Nobody's come on here and said "OMG emo band nedz 2 die & stop whining!!!" or judged them without first listening, some people just don't like the music/attitude of the band, and that's called an opinion not prejudice. You might want to try and learn the difference.

To be honest, Emo and all other forms of mass-marketed corporate rock music are simply designed to sound catchy and get the attention of children. The only thing that made My Chemical Romance go any farther than Matchbox 20 or Hilary Duff was their appeal to pre-teen girls and the fact that they controlled an "army".

And now to drag this thread out of its hole of mediocrity, some genuinely great music:

Pity, though, that the OP probably won't even be able to pay attention long enough to get past the intro.

This is my reasons.

The singer; very screechy. Does not blend well with the music. I've seen there music videos, it's not impressive, It's a nice artsy style but not really anything different.

Plus I am very annoyed at that whole scene of White-Faced black-clothing,red-tie crap.

Basically; They're nothing special to me. At most, they annoy me.

I literally thought the Black Parade video was a parody of something, and was on the floor in stitches.

But then I found the joke was kinda on me when there are people out there that take that stuff seriously.

To me it's kinda like hardcore rap - I don't really classify it as actual music.

While i don't have a problem with the bands music as such,i can't get into their music because they are represnted poorly by their fanbases.
A similar case to that of Slipknot,Nirvana and Bring Me The Horizon,no?

They had some great songs, and their last album was brilliant..as an album.

But as a whole i'm gonna give the band a meh.

I don't like them mainly because I hate pussy emo rock
same, I dont have time to waste listing to a bunch of pussy wanna be goths moaning about how hard their life is. But whatever you can slit your wrists too!
i third this because i listen to enough people complain about their "crappy" life. and i hate cry babies etc in general and their music is lame. it starts with piano saying i hate life and then it turns to hard rock to end up slower then a snail...

So here is that picture.
if i were to put that through an animator there would be maybe 6+ pictures and that says plenty.

They're alright.

I enjoyed Helena.
Black Parade seems like an okay album.
The lead singer guy seems pretty cool, cause he made a comic book and whatnot.
I have never seen them in concert, if I ever went to one, it'd be to pick up chicks.
My largest experience playing anything is middle school alto sax.
