Also you will grow out of them in about 2 years time. Then look back at their albums and just say... 'huh...'.

Congratulations, your test has stumped me, as with all the others(see what I did there? ). Alright, yes, I admit that I am soon 18 and I have already "grown out of" MCR, yet it is still pretty good music. I am also fully aware that a band's image is there for people to know what kind of music is played, but lumping all music that sounds sort of like eachother together and applying the same image to them is not something I approve of.
Also, what kind of music are you referring to? I am very curious to find out. I'd be happy to give it a try, because to me it does not matter if it's mainstream or not, I listen to what I think sounds good. Alas, this is already a long-winded rant, better end it.

When i mean lesser known bands,i mean more underrated classics,like Faith No More,Nine Inch Nails,Alice In Chains and Diablo Swing Orchestra(also a varied bunch of bands named there too)

And i like My Chemical Romances Black Parade Album,i'm not here insulting you,or the band.I am simply saying that they aren't all that and a bag of chips(so to speak).

I only liked one song by them, "Teenagers." And then I realized I had to misinterpret the song to like it. Promoting individuality* is fine, but antagonizing the entire population who doesn't agree with it isn't.
*Using nice terms is fun, guys.

I don't like them because the commercialized emo stuff.... Emo was better when
A. It didn't have a name it was just a bunch of people drowning in edginess, depression and angst
B. When there concerts were underground because no self respecting club, or recording studio would let them past the front door
C. When stuff such as backpacks shirts, pants, and stuffed animals were made by indie fans in their basements as a pass time, not slaving kids in china to make it.

My Chemical Romance is a good band, but I wouldn't call them great. Their first CD, I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love, is, well, terrible. I don't hold it against them, though, because Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge is possibly my favorite CD of the Emo Rock genre. There is no weak song in the whole CD, and each song brings something unique to the album. The Black Parade is good, and has some of my personal favorite songs on it, but is slightly overrated by people that don't know any of My Chemical Romance's older music.
