My question to you is, have you felt metal has become boring now? Does there need to be another jimmi hendrix to redefine the fine arts of music? Another metallica to start up a genre? Another Megadeth to refine it?

No, no, and no.

The new metal is good. The old is ok. I prefer the new to the old any day. And don't make stupid rants about things you know next to nothing about. There are dozens of bands who are amazing, like Dream Theater, Mercenary, Darkest Hour, All That Remains, and Demon Hunter.

I'm not really that big into metal, but I blast it when I'm working on computers. helps me keep my mind on task. And my favorites are Dragonforce, Symphony X, Stratovarious, and Rhapsody of Fire, and I think those are all relatively modern. I know Dragonforce and Symphony X are still touring, and I think they're better than the 1980s death metal.
