The bit about knowyourmeme hurt me... I won't lie...Geo Da Sponge said:But basically what you're saying is if you ever join on something that's popular, no matter your reason, you're a hipster. Which means you must only approve of liking stuff that isn't popular? Wow, that full-circle hipster is insidious. Listen, I watched the first episode while randomly browsing Knowyourmeme, having got there from TVtropes on an unrelated topic. I had absolutely no input from other people when I started watching that episode, but I wouldn't have even heard of if it hadn't become popular, and I'm thankful for that. So if you want to be miserable refusing to partake in anything that other people like, be my guest.
Also, complaining about hipster-style formal Victorian wear is a bit rich when your avatar is a shark wearing formal victorian wear.
And you raise a valid point. Liking things that are good is completely valid, and in all truth, the way things should be done, but I think its worth mentioning that this isn't the way things are done.
Ferinstance, Harry Potter isn't very good. I'm not saying Harry Potter is bad. I'm not saying that Harry Potter didn't let people imagine a wondrous fantasy world to take away the bad feelings. I'm saying that as a piece of literature, just isn't very good. On a scale of Twilight to Paradise Lost, I wouldn't place the Harry Potter series on Milton's side of the board.
Actually... I can't be bothered. I've got shit to do. I'll just leave it that you have a point, and I also have a point that I can't arse myself to arrange in words.
Fuck all ya'll. Go Gators.
