Well, if you want to know how my parents views are upon the world.
They're against abortions, if the girl doesn't want the baby then she should STILL have it against her will and put it in a foster house.
They're homophobic.
They think that Atheists are idiots, because they don't have a faith in god.
Plus they think that Buddhism is a religion which is my practicing religion but since it has no gods to worship then it's techniclly speaking a atheist/faith slash something.

They're the equivelent of the tea party.

Well it seems fairly pointless to try and convince her otherwise with that history of stereotypical ignorant parent (no offense) so if you want to try and suggest otherwise watch as many movies with sex and violence in it.

Ignorant parents annoy me. It wouldn't be so bad if she made the effort to find out more about the movie but maybe she is too busy doing...whatever it is she does. I would say to not let it bother you as it could be worse: Your mom could be a vocal leader of some watch-dog group. This may be a good time to consider teenage solitude and, white lies.

My guess is that your mother was raised with "Boys to this, Girls do that" which is rather common for most of our parents I believe.

My parents were very much in that mindset when I was growing up. I remember as a kid, not being allowed to read certain books or watch certain cartoons because my parents were seriously afraid it would turn me gay. If a female was the lead character, it was out of the question. Luckily, I grew up a well adjusted man who understands that this is not the way the world actually works, and hope to pass on a more intelligent viewpoint to any children I have, whether they be straight, homosexual, transsexual, or even some other extreme thing I've never heard of. Just goes to show, narrow-mindedness doesn't have to run in families.

OT: Yes, your mother is silly, and there probably isn't a whole lot that will convince her wanting to see this movie isn't based on you being gay. Try your best just to be you, and hopefully she gets the point that you're not gay (if you're not, you didn't specify) when you show interest in girls in other ways. Good luck.
