Ocarina of time was the best IMO, Majora's Mask had a better story but the timeline stressed me to shits :p

OoT was the First good game I ever playd, and i still play it today with my trusty N64

OOT is the best one. In my humble opinion. All hail the 64!!! BOW!!
This pretty much.
Windwaker was innovative with it's art style but oot was the best story-wise.

In absolute terms, Probably not - in relative to the time of release terms... maybe
Sometimes the shortest posts articulate more than every other post on the thread. Agreed 100%
Wow, I couldn't agree more. To me this pretty much sums up the 'old vs new' argument for every game series. Man, wish I'd been articulate enough to say this...

I like Wind Waker better (and I had a friend do the Triforce thing for me due to my nasty case of ADDHD)
and Link to the Past was fun, but the Zelda franchise still has a while to go, and eventually a new Zelda will triumph over OoT AND it's nostalgia factor.

I personally think that The Wind Waker is the best... love the animation, the story, the emotion you can see in the characters, etc.

Ocarina of Time, while good, I've always found too stale, too boring... the first playthrough was great, but every time after that is just less fun each time to me.
Majora's Mask, on the other hand... I love that game more and more every time I play it. I would explain that, but... I really don't know how I could. I just keep loving it more and more.

No? Not at all. It was boring, it lacked the gaming features we have to say, most of it felt pointless and anti-climactic, and it made me feel like I should be outside.

Well with all the repeat threads its easy to get a good answer ready in your head for most questions ;)

I would love to see a Zelda game that is made using the same engine as Assassin's Creed (which was definitely the best part of that game, the story and mission design were attrocious).

It would be awesome to see that engine used to make Hyrule, with the same (or greater) level of interactivity with the environment that Assassin's Creed offered.

Of the 3-D ones:Majora's, It was dark, awesome and I enjoyed the time thing, though the Moon was scary as hell. It also has the the honor of managing to completely avoid talking about Gannon or having a cameo of him,I think

On the 2-D side can't believe no ones said it yet, The Oracle sub-series with Ages being better IMHO, great puzzles a cool season/time mechanic and the connectivity was awesome.

Also LTTP holds a special place for me as my first zelda game so it never enters that battle for supremacy.

My brother didn't let me play Twilight Princess. ;_; I just got to watch him play so I am a little biased towards Ocarina of Time because that game is MINE now. I also have Majora's Mask but I don't really like it for some reason. (Probably the time thing, I get all panicy/stressed when I know "I only have this much time left to do something")

However I also liked Wind Waker a lot. I think OoT and WW are on par (for me at least) so I'm gonna go with Maybe.

OoT was a ground-breaking game when it came out, which I'm sure dramatically improved reviews.

However, compared to games nowadays, I think Twilight Princess is undoubtedly better. In fact, I don't find OoT that enjoyable tbh.
